  • Who Really Cares?

Welcome to the first edition of Who Really Cares?, a segment with little known facts about our favorite professional football league, the OSFL. We are digging through the crates to find obscure and not-so-obscure facts about the league. Without further adieu, our first three Who Really Cares ancedotes:

    1. Utah's star reciever, Danny Viola led the league in punt return average(16.3yds/ret) without returning a single punt for a touchdown.

    2. St. Paul's backfield leader, fullback has lead the league in special teams tackles the last two years(37-2007, 38-2008) and has forced seven fumbles in those two years. Are you sure he shouldn't be a linebacker?

    3. There are five tackles that make over 10.5 million this year.
    Deon Aviles, Morgantown Maniacs
    Lance Clayton, Portland Phantoms
    Clifton Conley, Pearl Harbor Defenders
    Brenden Kolb, Punxsutawney Phils
    Marcus Washburn, Port City Steam

Washburn is a 15/15 player earning that by waving his towel and getting gatorade for the starting tackles. Much better than flipping burgers.

Interesting? Maybe not. Stupid? Maybe. But, who really cares?.

    Good stuff.

    I'll give you one.

-- Despite a very respectable 33-18 regular season record since the league's inception... no Motor City Mechanic has ever taken home Player of the Week honors.
    The Great One!

    Too many rings to count.
