Any thoughts on Luther Shepherd MLB? He was kind of a need pick, and my scout had him as "hard to read" but his combine numbers were good.

After passing on my biggest need for my first three picks I figured I had to take a reciever here. Although having Renfro, Benson, and Wansley all go in the 6 picks prior to me may also have played some part in that decision.
I just hope Rolle's as underrated as my scout though he was.

So really, only stuff you already know. No glaring weaknesses, above average bench press, Sole. score, and a pretty good broad jump (actually, tied for second behind only that guy went #3 overall). Should end up allright in B&R and M2M coverages. Zone, it seems is based mostly off from position drill, so that one is gonna end up a lower. His agility isn't great, but it isn't terrible. Still that's where your run stopping techique comes from, which is something I (probably over) value in a middle linebacker.
Sounds like a 3rd round pick to me.

I let my starting MLB walk (wasn't even that good), so this was a need position. After Julio Durham didn't fall to me (like the mock draft predicted) I had to draft a MLB at some point. Currently on my roster is Desmond Palmer, a 10-year veteran, who I signed mid last season. He is a former SLB, and is rated only 35/37. He is a mentor to linebackers, so hopefully he can take Shepherd under his wing. If Shepherd is rated where I expect, he will probably start from week one.Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-

Really didn't like my pick of Denehey, but I was committed to getting a wideout on "day 1" and I liked his (relative) size. I was hoping Rolle would fall to me after my last pick at 3.3, but he didn't last and I think Los A might have a solid SE on their hands.Charlotte Knights - OSFL
