Charlotte is really happy to have DE Joseph Mallow, now simply known as the "Phenom" in the greater Charlotte and surrounding North Carolina areas. After acquiring the solid DE Paul Reid to not only make an impact but also be a mentor for our defensive ends, Mallow falling to us at 12 was a perfect fit. Mallow's reputation for "classy" locker room humor and a big, lovable personality spread all the way from the Rocky Mountains and the Big 12 to the Cougars locker room and he is already being welcomed by the players.

Good draft so far. I really didnt see anything that jumped out at me at 1-6. My team has so many holes, that the real rebuild begins in earnest next season.
I am collecting as many picks next season as possible. So, if you see something on the Riders squad that interests you, dont be afraid to holler at me.PHOENIX RIDERS since 2009

With the 10th pick in the 2009 OSFL Draft, the New Orleans Stingrays:
CB Dusty England
Analysis:
The first CB taken in the draft comes from a school known for producing great CBs, Miami. Dusty England is another one in the line of great CB. Extremely agile and fast, England also has the size to cover the top receivers in the game. Good pick for NO.

We pick up Shane Wilkerson, he showed great hands and good route running in college with the speed to make the big play. Knock is he went to Hampton which we never heard of till we sent our scout there earlier this year. It's in the MEAC , campus is in Virginia. Who would have thunk it.BLB- Seattle Reign

Very nice flow to the draft except for that one big hiccup. Also, I think teams are drafting very smartly. I'm a bit concerned about my pick because of his low endurance, but I'm hoping that will bump up with time. He had enough other qualities that I really liked and was at a position of need, so I overlooked that potentially serious flaw.

Combine wise we think he was one of the 5 best players in the draft.

This was the toughest decision I ever had in a draft. I had 3 guys that I was interested in. The 2 CBs had similar combine results but Brennan was very underrated according to my scouts. Hopefully my scout is right.
I'm looking to move up in the second and am willing to offer next years picks.

My plan B for the first round was actually to take Wilkerson at 8 and hope for Carlson at 22. But I figured there wasn't much chance of that happening, and my scout really like Minnig too.
