The pick of Donald Boshier was as a future replacement and insurance for RB Horace Tatum, who we traded for earlier in the offseason.
Tatum is on the back end of his career, and we didn't feel like the DT talent in this years draft was a big enough upgrade to warrant a high DT selection, nor did we feel like we could wait until pick 1.26 to get a good one. We saw the chance to trade up for a truly elite player who our scout likes a lot, and we think we got an offensive game changer who will take an already good team to another level.
All in all, we felt we would get better value out of this draft by trading up for a guy with this kind of talent rather than wasting a pick on a borderline stud we weren't sure about.

Interesting draft so far, really cool. Of course it's my first draft so who knows, maybe this is normal. Just wanted to let everyone know I'm going to be running back and forth a lot today before work at 6 (moving) so if my pick comes up (13) and I'm not around, give me about 15-20 minutes, I'll have my laptop with me. Good luck guys.Charlotte Knights - OSFL
Syracuse Slammers - BLB
South America - 1984 WBC Runner Up

With the 5th pick in the 2009 OSFL Draft, the North Liberty Enforcers select:
WLB Joel Wild
Analysis:
This was a need pick and thats not a criticism. The Enforcers biggest need was OLB and the best OLB in the draft is Joel Wild. Wild was a four year player with the Air Force Academy and is equally adept at covering receivers as he is rushing the passer. He will be a great LB tandem with MLB Zach Mcdonald.

Looking at my interviews and I'm wondering, did anyone else look back and say, "Why in the hell, did I interview that guy?" Its some guys on here that I have no idea why I interviewed them. I guess that's why I've had to 2 top 10 picks in 3 years.
