Hey guys, I hate this to be my first post but I guess I have to start somewhere. First off I am looking forward to competing with you guys. But until then I have to figure out how to get the league installed.

I tried to do aholbert's checklist (creating the OSFL folders, NFL folders, etc.) and after figuring out FOF and Vista (vista sucks) I got FOF to start up. When I open it up, I can't get FOF to recognize the league file when I try to "start new career." It recognizes OSFL2007 when I click on delete a league, but not when I hit the open file button.

I guess this is the time to ask a couple questions:
When I unzip the "end2006" and "end2007" files in the \league\ folder, do I extract the files all to the \league folder or to their own subfolders? I ask this because the end2006 and end2007 archives have overlapping filenames so I can't put them in the same folder.

When I start a single player league on my own, all the league files end up in the \universe\ folder, not under leagues\ or universe\nfl\. Should this be where I am putting the league files?

I hate to sound stupid but I've tried every combination I can think of, but when I click on "Start New Career," I get to pick from the "NFL" teams, and I can't find the OSFL files. Any help would be really appreciated.

    Thanks in advance guys,

    Hi Jake,

The league files shouldnt all have overlapping file names. Some will save over the others so make sure to install 2006 first.

I would try this even though its a bit of a pain just to get you started. Save the default universe files and back them up in the NFL folder. Place the OSFL universe files in the main universe folder not the OSFL folder. If you want to play a single player game along with the OSFL league you will have to swap out the universe files before you play it.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Ok, still no go. Here are all the files I've installed or created and in their directories right now:

      \universe\OSFL\(empty)
      \universe\NFL\(empty)
      \universe\frfoot.fcy
      \universe\frfoot.fgr
      \universe\frfoot.ini

      \leagues\OSFL2007.2006
      \leagues\OSFL2007.2007
      \leagues\OSFL2007.ffn
      \leagues\OSFL2007.fju
      \leagues\OSFL2007.fpd
      \leagues\OSFL2007.fps
      \leagues\OSFL2007.fpx
      \leagues\OSFL2007.frc

I reinstalled the game before doing this so there are no old single player files or any other junk. Am I missing a file(s)? When I click on the face my multiplayer options come up and then when I click on the open button it says "no multiplayer games available." However, if I start a new single or multiplayer league for myself I get all the OSFL team names, but with NFL rosters. Appreciate the help, big time!

Try installing these files in your league folder:

Getting closer, I might even have it. When I go to open a file I have two leagues to open, OSFL2000 and OSFL2007, but they are only available to open under "Commissioner," not "Participant." After I opened the file I clicked enter new career (could not click it until I opened the league) and picked Charlotte. It said to send a file, OSFL2007.q10(?) or something to the commissioner. Do I need to do that? Then when I went back to the open league button, I could open a "participant" file and after clicking open the password dialog came up and I entered the Charlotte password. Did I get this right? I really gotta thank you for the help, it sounds stupid but I don't think I would have gotten that by myself.

It looks like you have it right. You dont have to send me the export file unless you made some changes to the team. Here are the instructions for uploading the files.

Download the most recent league file from the forums.
Unzip the files into your league folder.
Start the game and make any changes to your roster.
Export the file (The file will be in your FOF/Export folder).
Go to the OSFL forums and select Stage Files and Upload Stage files.
Select the file through the uploader and enter the password "*****". Thats all you need to do.

Let me know if you have any questions.

EDIT BY ANDREW - I edited out the password.

Sorry Andrew. I copied and pasted it from a PM and forgot to remove it.
