    No, they do improve their performance in the manner of rust at the very least. . . if you go into regular season with a rusty bunch of players

      Looked like the Bees to me! Lots of penalties, gave up lots of useless yards, scored quick, got completely outgained in almost every category but won decisively anyway and probably left another opponent wishing for a rematch. Go Bees.

        Experience is experience. I seem to remember a GM who came into the CFL and threw long on every play in preseason to get more reps for his defense. Can't remember his name, but he did post a study about it later, I think. Maybe not. ;) (Before you joined over there, H.)

          That was me. That tactic doesn't work any more, because it makes your offense rusty.
