  • SIM COMPLETE- NEXT SIM SATURDAY- MIDWEEK EXHIBITION WEEK 3

The preseason week 2 is complete. Thanks to every airport in the NY city area canceling damn near every flight going into the city tonight, I ran the sim tonight instead of Skerik. The next sim is going to be run on Saturday instead of Friday this week because I'll be in NY on business and we had alittle trouble giving Skerik back commissioner access. This is a one time thing and midweek sims will return to Fridays next week.

Post below with your thoughts on how your team performed.

Next sim Saturday at 7pm EST.

Well, I know it is only pre-season, but it might be another long year.

My offense looked awful, and my defense not too much better. My rookie QB played like, well, a rook.

I like what I saw from my team tonight.

      -Richardson looked decent.
-Wally Lum had 2 catches for 48 yards and an 18 yard punt return, so he looks to be pretty dangerous.
-Roger Boren is a fucking beast; 4 tackles, 2 sacks, 6 hurries, 5 knockdowns. Stud.
-Maurice Hutton looked good with 2 sacks and a forced fumble.
-I still have no idea what to do with my quarterbacks, both QBs looked pretty good, Sanderson had a better completion percentage, but he also threw a pick.
-Johnnie Goldhammer is a studly punter, 8 punts, 409 yards, 6 inside the 20. Battle of field position for the win.

Oh, and I shut out the Bandits.

We started the game by giving up a sack, followed immediately with a false start, then threw a pick on the next play. That says it all.

Lets see, the defense played fairly well, but the offense was terrible. We couldn't throw the ball to save our lives, had 5 passes intercepted. My rookie RB that I was looking forward to seeing only got 8 carries (my backup got 18?? don't ask me how that happened). Running game was actually decent, I just wish we'd have given the ball to Bryant more.

All in all, same as usual in Denver. If this is any indication, another year of frustration watching Solevision.

very happy with how my rookie QB and RB played today... horrible mistakes by the team for I think 10 penalties... But we got the win and that's all that matters. Defense forced 4 turnovers and a QB to have about a 40% completion rating over about 40 passes.

Question... in the preseason are we allowed to have all 60 guys dress for the game? Cause right now I have about 14 guys inactive...

Plus, how do you track players to see if their ratings have changed during the preseason... besides actually writing down their stats week to week.

Only 46 are allowed to dress each week.

                Didn't win... don't care.

But, I'm VERY pleased with a few things:

                - #1 Pick (Kent Cook) had 5 tackles, 2 sacks, 2 FF
                - Last Year's #1 Pick chipped in 1.5 sacks
                - My D line is MUCH better
                - NO INJURIES!!!
                The Great One!

                Too many rings to count.

Yep, you destroyed us. Nice job.

I'm more concerned about the injuries to my long snapper and my CB than anything.

There is a player tracker program that someone posted, I'll look for it.

EDIT: Here is the link to our topic about the Change Tracker. http://www.simgamingnetwork.com/foru...ead.php?t=1329

Here is the link to the direct download for the utility.

Kent Cook was a monster. He made my backup guard look so bad I'm considering cutting him.

The injury bug killed us. Lost my 2nd RB for 8 weeks with an MCL injury and my 3rd string back for 6 weeks.

On a good note, loved how my D looked against Motor City's starting offense and my first round CB looked great with a forecd fumble and 3 pass defenses

another question... players don't gain from in game performance during the preseason right? They only gain during the "practice" times that we don't control?

My offensive line still get get out of the way. They continue to ruin big plays with holding penalties. I had like 8 penalties in the game. Some things never change. Oh, my #1 pick, the Guard gave up 2 sacks.

We looked strong defensively again this year, but special teams and offense may be a problem again this year. We gave up an opening game 96 yard return.... Not enough punch in the passing or rushing game for my tastes and, I might have a pansy for a starting flanker but we'll see. All in all, happy with our performance, though.

I liked what I saw from K.C. our rookie HB and what I saw from Vince Godfrey, who I'm convinced is going to have been a steal where I got him in the draft. Shane had some nice moments, and some bone headed plays like any rookie QB. Overall, I'm happy with our performance in our first preseason game.
