    Week 16

    GG, Punxsutawney. Your guys gave ours all they could handle.

    But our offense was immaculate today, and built just enough of a lead to hold off the late charge.

    We head into this last week with a must-win against Brooklyn. Additionally, Morgantown has to lose for us to have a chance on tiebreakers. I'm not even sure we can get the tiebreakers! Mighty impressive team up there.

    Wow... That was a wild game. It was looking like Morgantown was going down to another team with a tandem of outstanding wide receivers for most of the game, even though it looked like our game plan was solid. Over and over again I asked the question, "How many times can this guy throw into double coverage without me picking him off?!"

    The answer was 10. After watching helplessly as big play after big play put Port City up 21-10, and later 28-17, I wasn't feeling too confident about the pending outcome. But on that 11th pass into DC, CB Ellis Hardy gave us our first INT on the day. Nothing came of it points wise, but on Port City's next possession, Donovan tested DC again, and this time Carlton Jaffe got his mitts on the ball. That turnover resulted in Morgantown evening up the score at 31.

    Linn Ryker got the third INT deep in Port City's territory, and we pushed the score to 38-31. By this time, Morgantown had seen all of Port City's routes, and that old familiar feeling started cropping up, allowing us to keep PC at bay and claiming a 41-31 win.

    Good Game Port City. You're still looking good for a WC over there in the NC. Morgantown is hoping to close the deal on HFA against Gainesville on Wednesday. Would rather take on Boston on the sulpheric shores of the Monongahela if it comes to that.

      Need some duct tape

      Syron drops the ball 3 times! I should have gotten destroyed by NLB. Luckily we recovered all our fumbles. Good game otherwise. Just trying to play spoiler here. Hopefully we can close the season with a victory in Phoenix and tie them in the standings.

        Arturo Bowler comes back to Earth. He has reached such heights after beginning his career with 12 straight incomplete passes spread out over 4 years.

            Got whooped and got eliminated from the playoffs. I can't say I'm too surprised. Mandel threw 4 picks and we put the ball on the turf 3 times. Compare that to Charlotte's 0 INTs and 0 fumbles and it's no wonder that we lost the game. Oh well, there's always next year. New Orleans and Port City both clinched wildcards, so the AC South will be sending 3 representatives to the playoffs this year. It's just a shame that Memphis won't be one of them.

              Back and forth game for the most part but the difference was the QB's. Sawyer Rogers just can't seem to move the ball downfield on a consistent basis. The safety in the third quarter was huge.

              It was always going to be a tough ask against Yuma then Washington but after an impressive showing last year, we have sucked balls this season.

                  this final week will tell all....slim chances to sneak into the playoffs but there's still a possibility
