I really did think the Enforcers would pull this one out, and I half rooted for a NLB-DEN bowl. But Slaughter had an off day today; feels like what Erickson pulled last year in the bowl. Good day for your FB, though -- 11 targets, 11 catches, 106 yards? Ha ha, dang.
Now, chuck, GG -- not that you probably need it! My word, you've made Denver a powerhouse. I was looking at your WR duo and later pulled up your roster and realized it was more like a WR trio. And if I thought Slaughter had a phenom year, Reeves has a 116 QBR there with over 4000 yards.
Rob's done a fantastic job with Waco, but man is Denver a worthy bowl team. If you haven't had an OSFL trophy yet, here's to your first -- but my guys will hopefully have something to say about that.
We were run-heavy last week and then pass-heavy today. Just the luck of the rolls sometimes. Your D had Slaughter's #. 11 catches by the FB means he was the best option 11 times. That's gotta mean the D is owning everyone else. Oh well, it was a good run.
Both offenses tore it up. We had two big 4th quarter drives to get the win.
Turning point: in the 1st quarter, after intercepting Reeves, you guys started a drive on our 36 yard line. We intercepted on the very next play.
gg Chuck
That play definitely was the turning point.
On the bright side for me, this means that I get to draft ahead of you in the first round.
You have a great team and an offense that is virtually impossible to gameplan against. You have so many weapons. Good luck in the bowl game. Keep the Tobacco Bowl in OUR conference!
Looking forward to our game, Aston! I do not believe I ever made it to an OSFL bowl game. It looks like Denver made it once but has never won.
Looking back, on my 1st go around I had a few playoff runs but they were almost always ended by you (as Utah). I am looking for some revenge here but it will be a tough hill to climb. You have a great team.
We come out 1 point underdogs.
PS1 It looks like Denver has had some poor teams. No wonder the fan support is so terrible (we had to vote to move cities at the end of last season). I am happy to say I have been at the helm for some of the team's best seasons.
PS2 I am happy with my WRs, I am expecting Mathis to take over the #2 spot when Olsavsky retires. Very interested to see that Mathis only has a 3.1% target percentage in the playoffs compared to 21.6% during the season.
