  • New OSFL commissioner

    Hey everyone,

You should all be familiar with King Kosar by now, and I'm really pleased to announce that he's now taking over as OSFL Commish. We've had this in the works for a while and originally scheduled it for a little later, but he became available earlier than anticipated and this is a sensible handoff point, with the offseason just beginning

(I especially like this timing, as the next week would've been a little tough for me anyway!)

So, he'll continue with the next sim as scheduled on Monday at 4PM EST. He's done a great job with his brief stints simming for us in the past few months, and I know he'll do great!

There was word at the league meetings that a new concussion protocol was being discussed under the new regime. It appears this new commissioner takes head trauma seriously and I think its good for the game. Something else I overheard at those same meetings: The kickoff is going to be eliminated and replaced with a brief musical interlude, after which the receiving team will take possession of the ball at their own 20. Apparently this music will be chosen by the player who scored on the previous possession. We're going to learn a lot about what kind of music kickers like.

Oh yeah, King Kosar is a former OSFL player himself, isn't he?
