Holdout question

This is weird and just wondering if anyone else has had it happen. If so why does it happen. I had a 4th year QB I resigned him at a higher pay rate in which he agreed too, it was just a hair under the top 5 make. His rating was 50/58 This resigning was end of wildcard games we had a bye. We lost by 1 point next game. Now new season begins and he wants a new contract and is holding out, He already got a sweet bonus but is wanting above top pay and a even bigger bonus which no way can I afford. Have a run across a glitch in the game?

If he have 2+ years remaining don't worry about the past injustices tag, will disappear and you can extend him later on. He ahould he fine after the pre season
