Week 7

GL Matt. I'm not too sure what's wrong with St. Paul outside of maybe the two OTs (a lot of outside running despite that? Rex would go inside more, I think -- it's one area where I mostly trust to him these days), but we're massive favorites and our offense has been in high gear. I love that 6 games in, our RB is leading the team in targets & receptions

Some cracks with the defense are showing, though. Our starting corners got wasted in the last game. And possibly before the game, too

We visit Motor City hoping for another win before the bye week. Not sure we can catch Washington but I am optimistic we can upset a few teams on our way to a wildcard spot.

Waco hosts Denver who just got their first win versus Port City. We need to keep winning games early on as we will finish our schedule with six of our last eight games on the road.

The team I thought I had finally showed up. We scored 72 points previous to this game (6 total games) and 41 in this one.

At least we won't be pulling a Brooklyn this year!

We said farewell to Bryant Emmons, who started at safety for us the past six seasons. He was our 1st of two first round picks in 2034, but was overshadowed by the later of those picks, CB Leslie Parker. Emmons was a solid thumper at safety but only average in coverage. With Jeremiah Schneider and an emerging Zack Jeffries at safety Emmons was expendable.

We tried really hard to give this game away but came away with a 27-19 win in the end over Motor City. The defense came up big again and if we do make the post season, it will be mainly down to them. Bye week and a well deserved rest coming up. I will take 4-3 at this point, thank you very much!

We finally pulled a much needed win to keep the division alive. This time its the offense who showed up, this is refreshing. Bryant is playing good with us and removing some of the burden on Joyner

Week 7

We survived a "comedy of errors" game that saw us throw two interceptions, fumble the ball twice, and give up 5 first downs with penalties.

Fortunately for us Punx was almost equally as bad, as we squeaked out a 30-24 victory in front of a packed house in the state of Washington.

Bye Week in Utah

Changed things up for a bit. Had a nice team unity day last Wednesday. We were invited to the Salt Palace to play some basketball with John Stockton, Karl Malone and Hornacek.

Then we went across the street to Temple Square where they were holding a Quilting Bee at the LDS Conference Center. We divided up in Offensive, Defensive and Special teams and each division made a quilt together.

I must say that the special teams quilting mural to Vanderjagt quarreling with Peyton Manning was breathtaking but the vulgarities written on the quilt almost got us escorted out of the building.

Then we watched Delta Force.

Watch out Denver.....
