  • Setup Help

Based on some pointers from Hoosier and elprez98 I think I have a bead on getting this to work between my PFL (normal teams) and the OSFL (unique teams).

I created a .bat file that seems to be working but when the game loads it asks me again for the password and I enter and it doesn't go.

I think I need to know what file the password is in and where does it need to be, or do I need to add something to the bat file to send it to look for it.

I'll keep working on it but if anyone can help me that would be great. I am on AIM as well - MistwoodBob which would be more efficient for someone to help vs. board posts but I'll work it either way.

    Thanks!

When you open, are you finding the Jaguars with the extension OSFL2007 after it? It should open from that point after you insert the league password, which is OSFL2007.

While we're here, I know a lot of new owners like to make the eam their own. I took the liberty to FIND, not to MAKE, these on the net.

When I run the .bat file the game opens and I can select OSFL2007 - Jaguars from the drop down (my other teams are there correctly also).

Then I enter, the game looks like it's loading, then it asks for team password. Which I enter what Aaron gave me and worked up until me messing with the bat file thing, and it doesn't work.

I actually corrected what I thought was a typo in my bat file and now I get a bunch of other team names...meaning I took a step backward.

          copy universe\leagues\cfl\frfoot.* universe\
          copy universe\leagues\cfl\*.bmp pictures\
          start frfoot2007.exe

replace CFL with OSFL. In the Universe file itself, I have mine set up Like

          Universe
          Leagues
          CFL
          DFL
          OSFL, etc.

Okay, now it won't let me in either. . .. it's telling me the 2008 games aren't there and I just downloaded and installed the end of season files. . .

That's because we're in the 2008 season, and the menu gives me the Riders from the 2009 season. . .

            How'd that happen?

Okay, since I prematurely dumped all the files, I'm up and running again. Can someone, not right away, pm me the team password?

Also, I had to go in and rename the end of season files to OSFL2008 from OSFL2009. That gave me the means to move into the right game. . .. I think. ..

                  Update:

I seem to have my batch files and other files in the right places but I still cannot get the password to work to open the file.

Can anyone tell me what file contains the password so I can make sure I have it in the right place??
