  • SIM COMPLETE- END OF SEASON!!!!!

After about two hours of work, I finally figured out how to upload and export as a commissioner. Ive only been commish one day and I have even more respect for the job Skerik did as commissioner. Here is the end of the season file:

    http://osfl.oldredboat.com/exports/l...ort_9_4_07.zip

A couple of big retirements: Bruce O'Neill from San Fran, Wally Garner from Portland and Bruce Brooks from Phoenix.

    Season Awards:

St Paul wins two of the big ones: Rob Cote wins Player of the Year and Randall Demoen is Coach of the Year.

Kenyon Heflin is Offensive Player of the Year
R.J. Peterson and his 27.5 sacks is the Defensive Player of the Year.
Sherman Ellison is Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Tyrus McWilliams is the Defensive Player of the Year.

Next sim (1st stage of Coach Hiring) is scheduled for Sunday at 9.

Remember this is the only stage you can submit stadium proposals and/or renovations.

I've been a little quiet on the boards recently, but I wanted to extend a big thanks to Aaron for taking over the reins, cracking the whip, and getting things rolling again. After only a little coordination tonight regarding what commish-only files he needed to take over the role, he's really hit the ground running and I feel very comfortable leaving the league in his capable hands.

Thanks to all the owners for two solid seasons during which we all figured this thing out and worked out the kinks along the way, and thanks for taking over, Aaron.

Brooks was no surprise. . .short pro season, but a damn fine center. And to think he waa my first and only redflag player in FOF, and he never caused me any problems. . .

          Go figure.

Who was running South Maryland last season?? This team has more potential than their 6-10 record indicates. The best QB played only 1 game, none of the quality players in their last years were resigned, players were playing out of position, key backups were missing, etc.

The good news is aside from a sizeable group of aging players that need attention, there is a decent core here.

No major retirements in the Motor City.

Question to the FOF vets... is it common that almost every team lost money this season??? Some as much as $60,000,000???

Right on, good to get the league rolling again- And really, with minimal upheaval considering the major change that has taken place.. I feel as though we barely lost a step.

Now, will 2008 be the year of the Aces?

I think its because our ticket prices are too low combined with the fact that the bonuses from last offseason and this season all counted toward this year.
