another thing, I've had some experience assisting with the drafts in a few leagues, so I can help. In for a penny, in for a poiund.

Originally posted by HoosierI've posted the openings at the UFL where Cotton, Al, Clay, and I play as well as a few others from here, so hopefully we'll pick up a new owner. Mr. DNA may come to play since he's on the wait list at the DFL and we have no openings there.

Being the noob I know my vote isn't worth much but I've played in a couple leagues that were heavy with CPU controlled teams and I noticed '07 AI was much better than '04 version. In one league a CPU team actually won the championship, yea I know that doesn't say much for the owners but it did happen... :oops:PFL Tampa Bay Bucs

How was the AI in the offseason? Any bad cuts, signings etc.?
I'm confident we will fill the positions but I'm interested to see how the CPU does in case we lose an owner during the season.

Oh, and I'm all for CPU controlled teams. Keep the wheels movin... :)
The CPU is probably more cap-conscious than talent-conscious. (For the most part.) It will make sure that all the minimums are filled and that rookies get signed and players get time, etc...
Let's put it this way, it's easier for someone to inherit a CPU controlled team sometimes than a team that's got some serious cap problems after a GM leaves. Happens all the time once a league gets a few seasons under its belt.Cotton Kidd, General Manager: The Utah Bees

Quick Update:
Nothing but good news today. HitDoctor from OS has agreed to become the manager of the San Francisco Bayhawks. That leaves us with one open team (Los Alamos) and I think we have an owner lined up for them.
I think that I can safely say that the offseason will begin on Sunday. If we are unable to fill the Los Alamos opening by Sunday, I will place the team on CPU control through FA. If we are unable to find an owner by the draft, I will create a draft committee of three people (one owner from each conference and myself) to pick for the team. Hopefully it wont get to this point.
So the first offseason sim is SUNDAY AT 9, so get upload your files as soon as possible.
