The Mermen will be resting their starters. A win gets us the #3 seed instead of the #4 seed and the difference there is arbitrary.
Hopefully this'll be enough to make our backup QB to stop his bitching about playing time. Come on dude, you're rated 44. No one is gonna start you.

Alright! We close out the season winning eight out of nine coming out of the bye and the last seven in a row to claim the #2 seed and a bye. Good work fellas. Oh, and we dethrone that Shark guy from his precious loft above the division. "GIMME THAT CROWN YOU COLD BLOODED SEA DWELLER!!"
Lake Country was able to move the ball all over us, but our D came strong in the second half and didn't allow a score. ST put LAK in poor field position all day. It was an all around team effort. RB Jennings knew what was on the line. Even with his tweaked hammy, he managed to suck it up and score twice for us. He gets a gold star.
Now for a rest and to let guys get healthy.OSFL

Well, it looks like St. Paul and Brooklyn both lost, but we couldn't do our part and instead completed the trifecta.
The Bandits go to the dance and Boston will stew over the "just how many interceptions have you got left in you, Axel Erickson?!" question this offseason.
We signed the Maulers' old kicker to kick off against them today, but alas, he didn't give away all their secrets. GG, IrishGuy. Great season & good luck to you.Float likeabutterflysting likeabee.

SpoilerOur offense finally picked up a little down the stretch, but nagging injuries and the loss of of my CB2 dropped my defense from "elite" to just "good." We finished on a 3-6 run and ended the season at 8-8, although at least 3-4 games were heartbreakers and we easily could have finished better.
Our running game was absolute garbage this year and I feel like I must have screwed something up in the training camp screen. At the end I went to a very un-Dakota like pass heavy offense which fixed things a little bit.
Rowland's last game was fairly quiet, but he had a lot of good kick/punt returns and caught a TD. I dunno if he'll be back with us next year or even if he'll play next year, but he was one of our best draft picks of all time. (Even though we REALLY wanted to trade up one spot and snag Ken Booker.)
Center Jeremy Register who has been with us over a decade and Fernando Domenici are both possible retirees as well. We might have a very different looking o-line next year as ours is very old right now.
We should have at least two first-team all pros with Leslie Parker and Neil Cibella this year.

Yeah, this game was fun to watch. Running the opening kickoff back for a TD had me thinking luck was completely against us. But we kept trading scores. The 6 turnovers you guys had was really the difference in the game.
We have a really tough division, and I'm really lucky to go 3-3 in the division (only 1 loss outside of the division, an overtime loss to Chicago). I'm sure you'll be back stronger than ever next season. All 4 teams were over .500 in our division. Your 9-7 was good enough to win several other divisions.GM of the South Maryland Maulers 2034-2040
