  • Training Camp

I have noticed in threads where people talk about do players gain weight or lose weight. I know unless it actually listed what a player weighs it is hard to know for sure. However I did notice something if you look at the in game mail it does say that players will gain weight or slim down for position change. Just wondered if anyone had noticed that before?

Trimming down or bulking up a player is something that you choose to do during the training camp stage. It can only be done during this stage. You click on "WEIGHT" and then you can see how the players weight compares to the average at his position. You can then choose to either "BULK UP" or "TRIM DOWN" either in order to get closer to the average for his current position or in anticipation of a switch to a different position (this will affect the % of ratings loss during the position change). Some players can't adjust their weight any more and the options are unavailable.

Thanks for explaining that Rob. Now I know how it works will start looking at all my players especially rookies in future.

Generally not much movement in training camp, but my 1.7 pick Claude Dugger just jumped +7/+9 through TC. Not only does he have the tools, he has the intelligence to listen and learn from the coaches. Really excited to see how this guy ends up.
