  • SIM COMPLETE - WEEK 8

    http://osfl.oldredboat.com/exports/l...t_07_05_07.zip

    Next sim is tomorrow (Friday) night - Midweek 9. Bye weeks suck!

    Hope everyone had a good 4th. I celebrated in style by going to see Transformers, which pretty much ruled. I heartily recommend it to anyone in the mood for summer blockbuster fare. Or, anyone in the mood to stare at Megan Fox for a few hours.

    You had me at Megan.

    For some reason, I've been sucked into the hype of this movie. Back when the teaser trailers were out, I didn't even register it on my radar, but lately... I have the urge to see some Autobot vs. Decepticon brawling.

    P.S. I thought Optimus Prime was dead?

      we SUCK! I spent time with my gameplan yesterday and nothingis working. I'm just going to go back to recommended settings. my offense started off scoring on our first drive and then penalties and turnovers killed us. My defense is soooo overrated.

      I'm ready to start fielding trade offers for my best players...

            There you have it.
            * 10 penalties so we were close - Check
            * 3 fumbles lost (-2) overall - Check
            * 261 - 233 in total yards - Check
            * 3 drops - Check

              New Orleans is a 1/2 game behind the Waco Warhawks in the AC South, but already has more divisional wins than the 'hawks. The Stingray defense boasts a front seven who are allowing only 3.41 YPC on the ground and an offense that has seen their share of success in the air this season. Unfortunately, that success has not translated into points on the board as New Orleans has averaged 12.16 PPG in six tries this year, against 19.83 PPG allowed.

              The Monsters come into the week having made some major adjustments to their strategy on both sides of the ball. Look for Los Alamos to launch an aerial assault against the sometimes suspect Stingray DB's, riding the hot hand of a resurgent Adrian Hermon. Hermon's numbers have crept up after trade talks were reported earlier in the season.

              Prediction: Los Alamos 23, New Orleans 16
              Final Score: 23 - 17 (OT)

              Adrian Herman and Ellis Wynn combine for over 600 yards of passing.

              This was a great game, I recommend you watch the Solevison.

                The Bayhawks hosted the Las Vegas Outlaws in an NC West matchup and lost a close game by the final score of 16-13. Our defense played tough out there, but our offense was horrible once again. Our Quarterback took a beating and we had a shot to come back at the end of the game. We couldn't get it done and we are still winless. We travel to play the Charlotte Cougars (2-5) next week as we continue to search for our first win. Will this be our first win?

                  It really feels like I'm watching the same game every single week with this team. Our offense is so pathetic I don't even know why I bother gameplanning, nothing seems to work. At least we didn't get shut out this week, though we flirted with that for 3 quarters.

                  Good game Cotton.

                    Two weeks in a row that Alig has been kept in check and we pull out two victories. This was a weird one, we could not get anything done early and Port City looked unstoppable marching down the field with ease for the opening touchdown. However the game would change from there. Alig was never allowed to get going but Lessem did a great job getting it done. The defense played well, we were helped immensely by penalties against the Steam. Happy to be 4-4 with a bye week to get ready for Memphis in Week 10. Would love to avenge the 3 point loss to them in Week 1.

                      Your running game is pretty effective and I don't think your game plan was bad at all. My running game finally woke up, which is good, because Viola's nasty little slump is still killing me. The nine sacks was weird. Three and a half were from my nickleback. Who's the slotman he was blowing off all night?

                      Can't think of the last time a nickleback had three and a half sacks. Or was named player of the game, even.

                          One more win and Los Alamos equals it's total for last season.

                          What ever happened to the players of the week on the home page?

                          Any update on the new-look website?

                            Catfish 17, Gaels 10. Tough loss for the Gaels. No matter what we tried we could not put the ball in the endzone against Columbus. Also, the injury bug caught up to us and we lost star DT Eddie Siragusa for 5 weeks with a seperated sholder.

                            GG Columbus. Hope to see you in the playoffs.

                              I'm shocked that I was able to generate that much pressure with my front 4. My offense continues to roll. It's nice having a healthy Dusty Cowell so far this season. I still believe his injury last year was the reason for our collapse. He's arguably the best QB in the league. 7-1 heading into the bye week, with a 3 game lead over the rest of the division. I'll take it. :)

                              Good luck to you, Hoosier. Maybe we'll meet again in the playoffs.
