Very very very ugly game, where we gave up 7 first downs on penalties... But we managed good enough Morton and the O# of PXT to build a 17 points lead in the 4th quarter... Grauman is playing magic and Thomas is starting to shine when a hole is openned...
Trenton Pease collected another Sack and now the rookie has 3.5 in 2 games!! Oh well done!! Smith is back from his injury btw...

GG KingKosar. No running game today. Boston RBs averaged about 2 YPC, and Chicago RBs averaged under 1 YPC. We picked off the Reapers three times, though, while Covington lit up and turned in his best game of the year. 5 WRs had 2 more catches. I like the way the pass game is humming; rookie Jerry Buchanan is showing some serious ability.Float likeabutterflysting likeabee.

Got a big win this week and the defense showed up really for the first time all year. I am elated with WR Perkins and Cam Recker is playing easily the best ball of his career. Not bad for a 7th round afterthought. I am curious as to what has happened with Safety Ethan Walker though. He has some tackles, but has yet to defend or intercept a pass 6 games into the season. That is alarming. At least Geoff Larrabee showed up this week and gave us something from the safety position for the first time all year.
Some noteworthy things I noticed while perusing the stats -
Port City has played a schedule that features opponents with an combined record of 5-22.
Curtis Shea is on pace for over 3000 yards from scrimmage and is pissing every opponent he plays off with his steady gains and generally unstoppable nature. Oh, whats that? He's also probably the best punt returner and one of the best kick returners in the league? Shea produces yards like a sod company. I wonder how long his career will last with that kind of workload though, averaging like 40 touches a game for his career so far.
While Shea outproduces his own QB, his QB blows him away in the nickname department.
How long can unheralded and (on paper) untalented rookie WR Curtis Fortmann keep his streak of caught targets alive? 12/12 for 184 so far for the young man.
Jermaine Choate is on pace for 1000 yards. AFTER THE CATCH.
FL Randall Fischer has fumbled 5 times on less than 20 touches. Good lord.

GG Dutch. Things were looking ugly when we fell behind 13-0 in the second quarter. After allowing scores on four of NO's first five possessions, we were able to clamp it down in the second half. We kept them off the scoreboard and held them under a hundred yards for the second half.
