2037 Mock Draft

I am going to kick off a mock draft here as I have time. Please feel free to chime in with some picks of your own and I will go with whatever happens.

One comment - this is just for fun. My drafting skills are very rusty. Don't listen to anything I say.

1.1 WR Jessie Rayburn

Really nice dash and agility combines. I would like to see higher bars but my guess is those will improve.

1.2 WR Leroy Burkley

All of his combines are blue or red... Also Leroy's big play bar is showing higher than it should with his 40 combine. That combined with a red agility combine and I think Burkley should go 1.1 or 1.2.

1.3 CB Santiago Robertson

Combines that are out of this world and really nice adjusted grade. Do not really like that his punishing bar is not maxed but I didn't say he should go 1.1.

1.4 CB Cornell Begian

I am interested to see who is better - Begian or Robertson. Begian's 40 time is not as good which is why he is rated as my 2nd best CB in the draft.

1.5 OLB Reggie Wilkins

I hate taking LBs this early and not sure if I would... But Wilkins should be a stud. Very nice combines and bars.

Just so i can compare with the actuals picks if applicable, do you only take into account raw talents or you combine it with actual team needs?

I did not look at team needs. I was looking at talent only.

Pretty cool, chuck. The only thing I saw at a glance in this draft class was that CB. Wonder when the QB(s?) will go.

The mock draft continues. I will warn also that I didn't do any interviews yet and this is really me taking a 5 min glance at things. I just thought it might be interesting for new players to see my drafting thought process.

1.6 TE Amir Alton

Do TEs have more or less value in the new version? I have no idea but this guy show as a stud TE.

1.7 WR Nick Dole

This might be reachy here but looking at Dole's bars and combines I think he has potential. I will throw an interview at him for sure.

1.8 QB Shaun Slaughter

I dunno, maybe he should go much sooner. I hated drafting QBs before and from what I can see from the new version, it is even harder now. He looks like he has potential to be a good starter in this league but he might also be a journeyman. Tough call.

1.9 SS Lenny Martin

The can't miss prospects slim out pretty fast at this draft. I am not sure Martin is as good as his bars show. His 40 and pos drill combines are not as good as I would like but I think he'll be a solid defender. He could convert to CB but he is probably more effective as a SS.

1.10 DT Tom Hopkins

Again, might not be as good as his bars shows but should be a stud run defender and good enough at everything else.
