It's pretty straightforward. Good ol' resource management. The key to know is that the default settings are "equal", meaning that even though there isn't the same amount of time put on each item, they are weighted equally, because some things require more times than others. As far as the individual settings, they're explained pretty well by hitting "Details" on the Training Camp screen. The only things I'd add are:

    1. "Study Films And Playbook" isn't as important if you have veteran QBs who know formations. If you have one or more young QBs, do NOT skimp on this. And even if you have veterans, don't skimp too much. I've never tried it and therefore can't verify, but I've seen it reported that lowering that number too much can actually cause QBs to *lose* formation knowledge.

    2. "Team Functions" may seem a little touchy-feely to you, but you're going to want that Loyalty when it comes time to renegotiate, slap a player with the franchise tag, and re-sign your own free agents. It's also virtually impossible to quantify cohesion and chemistry, but I know that they're important.

So, basically, in most cases, I wouldn't move any of the settings too far.

I don't move any of the settings too far either, but I'll also mention that I've seen the weight lifting have a significant effect on injuries. Then again, everything is important and you have to pay a price to up anything too much..
