We traded our last franchise QB with a few years left in the tank.

If the kids any good he can Aaron Rodgers it on the bench for a season or two.

I'm waiting to hear back about a trade. Sorry, Nuts, but you're gonna have to wait a while it seems. :P

No prob, use all the time you need!

I have barely looked at my options as well. Might be game for a trade myself.

Timing bar scared me off, basically. Interested to see how he turns out though.

Bobby Tubbs had 0 timing! Fordham looked pretty intriguing and was a guy I figured would never last very far down. I thought the same about Erickson, though, and eventually he goes to Boston...

Los Alamos scooped us at 1.27 with Chad Rasmussen, a pretty bangin' LB at a need position for us.

With Kayden Esquivel looking fairly solid (but as yet unproven) and a promising 2nd-year QB in Cristian Drake, I was pretty loathe to take a QB. However, looking around at the other solid options, they seemed like 55-60 rated players that would be starters, but maybe not the worst thing in the world to pass up, either. Neither Drake nor Esquivel are proven and if they do turn out good, we'll either have great depth or trade chips.

Lastly, this Erickson cat has very ambiguous combines, very high intelligence, and a "Naw, he can't be VU, can he?" reaction from me after reading my scout's interview report. But for a team that faced $50M in cap penalties last season, and $22M this year, what's another round 1 bust?

I toyed with the idea of dropping down to early Round 2 (there's a decent drop in bonus from 1.32 to 2.1) but in the end, I couldn't take the risk of having to explain to Boston fans in a few years why we passed on that 70/70 QB late in the first round. That's a firing offense!

Took DT Hoag at 2.4 so 2.5 is up. Maybe I can move him to DE...

Hoosier has been placed on autopick. Strick's back so he's fine.

And the AI picks a nice player! Boo!
