OK. Draft utility now locked and loaded 'way down yonder on the Chattahoochee.

I get up this morning thinkin that Vegas has pulled a nice move to beat out Anchorage by moving up three spots in the draft to get a player that both teams coveted and I find out that Anchorage seems to have leap frogged up ahead of Vegas by one position and taken the qb--I assume that's the guy they both wanted--one pick before Vegas.

Yeah.. What? And Sunday is likely a day when most of us will be available to move this draft along pretty far... I don't like hearing this.

Actually, IHOF tends to move along more quickly during the week than on weekends. People are more willing to goof off at work than take time away from the wife/kids on the weekends. :D

Well still.. Not trying to be a turd or anything, but Brooklyn as a franchise has been a thorn in the side in this draft so far. Not only because they took my guy at 1.7, but you know what I'm getting at here.

I guess I'll take the day off I have and do something else with it- Some good "Me" time maybe. :)

I will say that the "courtesy" stuff I mentioned a while ago comes into play here. If you're less than a dozen picks away and know you're going to be unavailable for an extended time, the utility should be stocked. That's just a courtesy to the other owners.

I agree as well. Looks like it's to late for Brooklyn, however, he made the decision t wait until 10 tonight.

I wouldn't be too happy about it if I were him, but if one of the three players he has stocked right now is available at his pick, I think the pick should be made. If not, then I am fine with waiting- I'll just come around late tonight and get my draft on.

I don't think we should do that, and I'm not really picking on him as an individual. I'm more just making a general statement, as this particular situation does illuminate the general comments I made earlier.

My thoughts are that this utility allows the owners to be away during their pick. The only thing that does keep me from getting upset is most of us did not see the draft utility until just prior to drafting. But after today I think we all would agree we have had plenty of time to adjust to it.
