    • At #9 We have Chicago taking 5th year Senior Desmond Kaplan out of the University of North Carolina. I had Kaplan as my 2nd rated QB in the draft, although there has been some disagreement in OSFL circles. Kaplan gives you that classic drop back passer. Easily the strongest physically at the position in this draft, Kaplan parlayed a very successful college career into an excellent all around combine where he surprisingly ran a better 40 than even top pick Myron Allen. When I ask scouts what he does well they pretty much say everything. He has the rocket arm and has perfumed well in big game situations. Chicago was fortunate to get him at #9 after losing Jumbo Clements in free agency.

Ehh. We're adequate there. He was on my list, but I need more than just 1 player so the extra 2nd rounder should help.

          • Great stuff Jistic.

I really like Cassidy at 13, I had him slightly better than Oliva, though its really close.

I didn't interview Lofton or Dennis since I wasn't looking for one, so maybe they're considered overrated. They both look pretty good. It's a tough call, when you have a guy with a really high adjusted rating and your scout says he's 'overrated'. I mean... if he's the #6 best player on the list, how over-rated? ;)

Know what I mean? Wondering aloud...

                    • Rounding out the top 10 we have Kalispel taking LT Percy Grier out of little known Alabama State. Grier may have slid a little bit as the OT position in this draft does have some good depth and teams feel they might be able to nab a good player later in the draft. Grier is one of the more well rounded tackles in this draft. I have him as my top overall. He has outstanding strength, good agility and even good speed. He will give you full effort right up until the whistle. The one knock on this kid is the level of competition he faced in college and will his dominance translate to the OSFL.

                        • At #11 We have the first Defensive End selected in this draft. Motor City goes defense with pass rushing specialist Clyde Olivia. This kid out of Washington has all the ability you look for at his position. His mix of speed and agility was a nightmare in for opponents in college. Olivia also has the strength to handle double teams that he will inevitably face. Olivia may be a little more raw than some of the other prospects at this position but his upside is through the roof.

                              • At #12 Ohio Valley takes the third running back off the board. Sherman Ellision has top 5 talent. Sherman's been kind of lost in the hype between Hartan and Richardson all week. Sherman Ellison belongs in the conversation folks. He's second only to Barry Sanders in OSU history. This kid has speed, strength, and all the intangibles. When you think of Ellision, sure you may not be the most agile, or quick, but you think production. He's not a shifty runner, but he'll look for contact. He's not afraid to take on a linebacker and run him over. He's an every down back that can stay on the ffield in passing situations. When you think of Sherman Ellision you think quality , quality, quality.
