2007 AMATEUR DRAFT DISCUSSION

It sucks but i'm just going to take advantage of the extra time to look at the players available since my hiatus only gave me limited time to scout the draft. don't be surprised if you guys receive a pm from me.

I don't think I clarified well, but I agree with everyone else pretty much. I'll just come back ultra late and see if my pick comes around. Our new guy seems to be a stand up dude from his welcome thread, and I guess it's just unfortunate that he had to travel before his pick rolled around.

No bad blood or hard feelings, just generally a slight amount of disappointment that will pass shortly.

Yesterday was just a ton of fun and I was looking forward to today after a grueling night at work. :)

Hell, I need to work the phones to get up in the 2nd round since my pick "auto-drafted" and I didn't get the guy I wanted.

Well, if we get to 2.5 before 10 AM PST, he won't be able to make the pick in 12 hours, what happens then?

if that does happen the next pick will be available to be made. We would have a Minnesota situation on our hands.

Well, I know who Las Vegas wants to pick and that player is first in his preference list despite his autodraft being off.

And HrfdWhale has one player in his preference list at a position where he told me he wanted a player last night.

So....if HrfdWhale's pick comes up and that player is on the board, I'll be very tempted to just make that pick and keep us moving. Going away for a whole day and not stocking your autodraft, on a Sunday no less, isn't really an option. He's new to the league and likely a little overwhelmed so we all need to cut him some slack, but at the same time I'm not ready to lose a whole weekend day at this point after the progress and the fun yesterday.

exactly. I took my laptop with me yesterday. even if I hadn't, I still had internet access. if you're anywhere and you do have access to the internet, it should be a problem.

He's a BLB guy, and we know how slow the draft moves in that league. That's why I'm shocked, and impressed at the same time, to see how much activity we have here.

I'm leaving in a couple minutes and heading out of town for 2 weeks. I probably won't use auto pick so I'll try and find a way to pick where I'm at in a day or 2.

Actually what I mean is I will be home early afternoon and see where we are at.... ;p

Now we're stuck on Los Alamos and I'm not picking for him.
