Going to tweak our attack yet again and head on over to Pearl Harbor for this week's match. I believe the Defenders are 0-2, but extremely talented with Shedleski at the helm.

We're going to need Cary Money to be sharp this week.

Would like to see a performance with no more than one interception from Douglas. Losing Jeremy Register isn't going to help, but I'm hoping Darrin Holmes can pick up the slack since we lost Amos Irwin at WLB. This is what we've retained him all these years for. DO NOT DISAPPOINT ME, HOLMES!

Rookie cornerback Leslie Parker looks better than the safety I drafted high.

San Fran coming into South Maryland.

Looks like the key matchup is the San Fran passing game against our pass defense. So far, our defense is 2nd in yards per attempt and yards per catch, and 5th in pass yards.

On the other side of the ball... we have a solid offensive line and a pretty good set of RBs, while your run defense has been pretty solid. But your weakness is your pass defense, ranking dead last in yards per game after two games, while we have one of the top WRs in the league in Mallory, who is still looking to have a big game in this new offense. I think passing will be our priority in this game, and hope we can get Mallory rolling.

See ya in South Maryland, Brad

                  Boston 19, Pearl Harbor 13

GG ter13dan! We pull out a win somehow here, and like most wins we'll come by this year I suspect, it was ugly. Our OL either is doing a really poor job at protecting Money or we're just throwing deep too much. We were just 4-for-16 beyond the short range today, although at least those completions hit for 90 yards and Money was 13-for-15 short. Pretty unexpected given how he's been to date.

The good: 5 sacks for Perry Colclough, wow! Pearl Harbor had some pass blocking weakness at tackle, but this guy really turned it on.

Our kicker Harvey Soward was a solid 4/4 today after going 5/5 last week. He hasn't missed this year and has a long of 47. So far, it seems like 'kicker accuracy' still doesn't matter too much. Better to have the leg to kick it from range, since all kickers seem to do OK short (as you'd expect -- no kicker who makes it into the pros is going to be missing half his 25-yarders)

The ugly: We tried giving our FB a few carries, and he took 3 for -10 yards. His best run was a glorious 2-yard stuff in which he remembered to move in the right direction for a little bit.

Grauman, Askin and the D carried the Sharks to a 3-0 start with a hard schedule!

Now travel to a dangerous 0-3 Portland team more skilled than their balance!

Place kicker, Vince DeNeff just earned himself a pink slip with 3 missed field goals in our 20-31 loss to Port City. He's hit just 6/11 and that's just unacceptable in Washington.

gg bomber, looks like we got lucky on the fumbles. That's not the sort of thing you can bank your season on.

The good news is Paul Famie had a monster game with 3 TDs on 6/6 110 yds.

Our defense continues to be terrible, but injuries are still and issue along with the fact I'm running a 3-4 again and really only have one LB designed for that scheme (and I'm calling him a 1st round bust for now).

Blew out Columbus and Douglas looked great, and then promptly suffered a significant injury for the second straight season. Our team is being decimated by injuries again, including Amos Irwin, Douglas and Jeremy Register. FIRE THE TRAINER!!!!

For the rest of the regular season we'll be going with Nicky Stevens at QB and we'll have to pray that he's adequate.

Tough one this week. We out gained Memphis. Created some turnovers. Tried to come back in the second half and could only manage FG's.

Looks like we will go through growing pains with Morton at QB this year. He looks good on paper, but the rookie is struggling on the field so far. The injuries to his receivers hasn't helped.

                              GG Memphis.
