They actually moved the ball pretty well early but their drives stalled as they entered Dakota territory. Went downhill after that, unfortunately!

Good first week showing against the reigning champs and division rival. Made some defensive adjustments which seemed to help hold Pleasant and Co in check enough to allow us to pull away in the 4th. As usual the Maniacs did not make it easy on Jesus but Schulz and our RBs took some of the pressure off and we start the season on a high note.

        So, we got smacked.

Hopefully it's just the game plan - we asked Money to do a lot of short passing, and as it turned out, screen passing. I was expecting less of that and more shots downfield, but that's not how it shook down. Travis Christen returning, a minor adjustment in the lineup - maybe things will change. Still, we didn't look good at all. 3rd round rookie RB's first effort starting produced 14 yards on 12 carries. Or was it the other way around?

Yeah, this was an all-time terrible game. We opened with 8 punts in a row, then decided to go with "Lost Fumbles" for the next two drives (you know, variety!) before finishing with three more points. Oops, typo, I meant punts. We didn't score any points.

GG IrishGuy, grats on the win!
We went in with an aggressive 3-4 scheme on defense and a west coast style offense. Wanted to try to get the ball in Mallory's hands... a lot. Mallory only caught 3 balls, but our offense started out with 2 TD drives, which basically put us in the driver's seat for the rest of the game. Either our defense did very well, or your offense did very poorly. For now, I'll go with our defense played great!

GG to you also. See you in Boston in Week 9. I'm sure the game won't be the same then.

Ohio D# won the game, gg umd with Booker back it will be really hard in the next match...

Galligher did some great drives but Motor City blocked too many passes.

Sack machine will smith absolutely dominant with 1, 5 sacks and 6 hurries...

Poor, poor showing with my defense on the mend. Pretty much expected that.

I don't even know what gameplan my offense was on, but I don't like it.

It's pretty clear we're the Ravens and Pleasant pulled a Flacco.

Nah, we are a terrible football team. GG though. We haven't taken a draft pick in the last 2 seasons. Harvey has a monster contract and suffered that (basically) career ending injury. The AI destroyed the cap and we're still fixing it. I don't even know how to gameplan in FOF.

It's going to be a while before we're anywhere close to good. That's only if I learn how to draft and I don't really know anything about this game at all.

GG Rando. BKL 31 CAM 14

Always scary to open the season with Camden. RB Broderick Carter came back strong from his ACL injury with 34/164/2 to earn player of the game. Rookie WR Travis Schaal looks explosive with a 64 yard grab. Overall team executed well and we earn our 31-14 win.

                see you next time rando

We got off to a what looked like it might be a good start. A long, grinding drive from our own 3 yard line down into FG range. But then that field goal was blocked and things just went downhill from there. Lost four starters to injuries this game, but they all should be back in time for our next shot at Brooklyn, and all of them but our LT should be back before our next division game, which isn't until week 7 against SMD.

Also I think it might be time to replace my conditioning coach. Half my damn team is tired after this week including a guy who was on the field for all of 5 plays and another one who was inactive and didn't even suit up.

A lot of carryovee preseason fatigue. Not sure why, but it happened in 2k7 also.
