FOFC reports a patch

FOFC reports that Solecismic is working on a new patch to correct a flaw in the penalty stage of the game. To paraphrase, it seems they misinterpreted the data from the NFL on average number of penalties in a game and a review identified this setting as being too high. . .

so guys, the fix is in. . .

This will be good, I would imagine the patch will come out before the season starts, and that would help get rid of those 14 penalty games.. I like it.

I'm guessing this might be a joke.. I don't see replaying the season as a viable option, even though our team would love to have a redo for the first half of the year ;)

Also, I wouldn't necessarily assume that the patch will be done by the start of the season. Jim (the developer) has a history of correcting many "under the hood" type issues if they exist when he does a patch and it may take some time.

I didn't know it took him that long.. I had thought the only reason we hadn't seen a patch recently was due to him moving across country or something.. I don't recall him taking much more than a couple weeks to get a patch out once its known that he is working on one, but either way, I'll keep my fingers crossed that it does get here before the season then.

We're not. IHOF patched today. FOFL is patching on Friday. WOOF patches for Monday.
