  • No more browbeating

From now on, I'll just run the sims, fill the empty owner spots, and generally keep my mouth shut. This forum will remain a place of discussion for everyone else, but from this moment on I shall refrain from further browbeating of anyone, for anything. If you, my fellow owners, would like to beat upon each others' brows, have at it. But I shall not be joining you.

Dude, that's hilarious! =D> (beat upon each others' brows)

I, for one, mostly enjoy your participation in the forums. That's half the fun of being in a league. And I'd hate to think that YOUR enjoyment is in any way diminished because of any self-imposed lack or reduction of participation.

I would respectfully ask that you reconsider your position (missionary?) on this issue for that reason.

    Thanks for running the league.

There's nothing wrong with being disappointed in someone leaving or saying so. I merely presented a differing view and it's not that big of a deal. Sweet mother of God. Forget I said anything.

FWIW, I thought your comments were appropriate. Unless, something major happened in that guy's life and he was dropping from multiple online leagues, I think the timing to announce it stunk.

        Oh well, stuff happens.

            Just to comment

I thought about that, but (a) I can't comment on how good the offseason AI is, and (b) I figured we'd be more likely to fill the spot before the offseason than in the middle of it or afterwards.

Obviously if an unreasonable amount of time passes and the spot isn't filled, we'll think about this. But for now, I think we should be able to fill it without waiting a long time.
I agree completely with this. Let the new owner at least have the entire offseason to mold his team. The offseason AI is decent, but it is NOT as good as a human running the team.

I also agree. I came in a bit late on a couple leagues I joined and sort of felt like I missed a chance to really get "my people" in at the coach and scout spots.

Whoa...can we beat our own brows?

we need to all get used to people quitting. I have been in numerous OOTP leagues over the years and people quit every year. Some people have things come up, some just loose interest in their team. Either way, we replace them and move one....

If the sim gets delayed a few days, so be it. It's not that big of a deal. With that said, I promise to stay in the league as long as my team is winning.
