  • Playoffs on same schedule?

Is there really a need for midweek sims during the playoffs? If not, I say we sim every other day.

I am guessing the mid weeks are needed for guys resigning players. :P

No, changing your roster on game day is risky. If you have anything out of order, due to a signing or a release or someone put on IR, the CPU will take it upon itself to decide what your depth chart should look like and even sign or release players in some occasions. You have to have a complete depth chart and exactly 46 active players on game day.

Hence the extra sim between each game.

I didn't know people would be signing/releasing during the playoffs. Even if your not in the playoffs, isn't the FA pool pretty much watered down, and all players have been paid their salary's for the season?

Even if Skerik were to speed things up during the playoffs, I think it would be unfair to do it at this point without some advance notice.

If your running back or tight end or cornerback gets injured and you don't have the minimum you need to play a game the CPU will sign someone on its own to make sure you have a full depth chart. And it will mess with your depth chart as well.

If even one of the four or eight playoff teams has that happen to them, is it fair that they can't make a roster move? Especially in the playoffs?

                        Well la-di-frickin-da! :)

We'll probably do that eventually, maybe next season. But for now, what with the questions swirling about re-signing players and nobody having any advance notice that we'd be speeding up the schedule, we'll stick to the current plan.

But we can pick up the pace for next season's playoffs, sure.
