with just 5 weeks left the sprint begins

    In the lead

    Phoenix 7-4
    Ohio River sharks 6-5

both teams control their own fates, keep winning and you're in. in a tie breaker i believe Ohio gets the nod due to a win over anchorage.

The Sharks have a tough road with 3 teams, Boston, Lake county and Camden, looking to win their division sandwiched between Waco and the Phills 3-2 for the sharks is doable and 9-7 MIGHT get ya into the dance. blood in the water but will they be the predator or the prey?

On paper Phoenix has the easier road with motor city and Denver pretty much out of the race, and Chicago and N Liberty hanging on to a thread, but theres nothing more dangerous than someone with nothing to lose. and the season finale with Utah is always fun

    in the hunt

    Kalispel 5-6
    Port City 5-6

well within striking distance any stumble by both the leaders or Portland (the Stags would need to finish 1 game ahead as Portland swept the season series) and the Stags are back in the race for the throne of swords, errr the Stephens Cup

    The rest of the pack

Unless something crazy happens at 4-7 Washington, Anchorage, Waco New Orleans and Motor City are on the outside looking in altho Portland's 6-5 hold on the division appears tenuous Washington can make the season finale with Portland a important game

    Utah in the bowl

    /thread

bwahaha, just kidding, but it has seemed automatic, hasn't it? We've got probably our most difficult road in years this year, having already lost to Memphis (who look good for one of the bye spots), and Phoenix, if they can find a way in, are top dogs in the WR/WR department. We'll see if we can handle the field enough to top off the run at a nice round #10!

Oh my!!! I need to put one W more and reach the 10 mark to have a 80% possibilities to reach the wild car or put LC out of the division crown... We must win Waco and PXT, of course Lake County and rally Camden in the last drive... Boston with Cary Money back is not in our level so we expect a . With 9 W it should be 60% of posibilities only!!

another battle in the NC west where SF, Yuma and PH are all battling for the division again
PH has the 2nd top defense in points allowed in the league and last year's MVP QB Shedleski to lead the way.
Can they pull it off with 5 weeks remaining or will someone take away their second shot at a division title?

NC East, Boston and Brooklyn will face of in week 17 in a game that might decide the division.

Right now Brooklyn still looks to hold the inside track to winning their first ever division title having already beat Boston back in week 5 and with an weaker remaining schedule.

Brooklyn: Las Vegas (1-10), Motor City (4-7), South Maryland (3-8), Lake County (7-4)
Boston: Yuma (8-3), Ohio River (6-5), Camden (6-5), Punxsutawney (3-8)

But Boston has Cary Money back, even if he isn't 100% yet, that's gotta count for something.

We are technically in the mix still at 6-5, but once Boston beats us in week 15 that dream will be over.

South Maryland hasn't mathematically been eliminated, but they would have to win all of their remaining games and hope than none of the other three teams in the NC East beat anyone other than each other to all finish at 7-9.

things are getting interesting in the AC Port city snaps a 5 game slide to get back in the hunt just a game behind along with Kalispell showing up to keep the Stags and Steam in the hunt.

Ohio and Lake county this week is huge! if ohio can sweep they would have a huge advantage towards capturing the division crown

The other big game is Portland Anchorage Portland needs a win to keep Kalispell at bay with a slim 1 game lead, however the Phantoms have most tie breakers in their favor

In the NC all four divisions are still technically up for grabs (although two of them could be decided this week) and every single game this week has some sort of playoff implications.

                      NC NORTH

After losing their last two, Dakota can finally lock up the NC North with a win this week vs. Saint Paul. Should the Totems fall, both Saint Paul and Chicago (if they win versus North Liberty) would still be in contention for the division title. Of course they would have to win all their remaining games to do it, and hope that Dakota loses all of theirs, but mathematically it is possible. A chance at a Wild Card spot seems far more likely.

For North Liberty, the best hope would be a Wild Card spot. They’ve already lost twice to Dakota so even if they managed their best possible finish (10-6) and the Totems their worst (10-6), Dakota would still win the division on the head to head results.

                      NC SOUTH

There is a similar situation at the top of the NC South, just one more win and Charlotte takes the division. They will have their chance this week against Gainesville. I’m not actually sure if the Gaels are still in contention for a Wild Card spot. Their best possible finish would be 8-8 and there are already 7 teams in the conference with at least 8 wins, and four more with 7 wins. Gainesville would need some sort of perfect storm of results where not a single team with 8 wins another game and where no team with 7 wins and any sort of tie breaker over the Gaels manages to win any of their next three. With many of these teams playing each other in the next three weeks, I’m just not sure that such a scenario even exists.

Columbus is the only other team with any chance of winning the NC South, although they would need to win out, including beating Charlotte in week 17 and would also need the Sentinels to lose their next two games as well. Still, the odds of that happening seem better than any set of events which would allow the Catfish to sneak in as a Wild Card, there are simply too many other teams in line before them.

                      NC EAST

Two weeks ago I said I thought that Brooklyn had the inside track to the NC East division win, but an inexplicable loss to Las Vegas has left the Hitmen on the outside looking in. Although their path isn’t as difficult as those faced by Columbus, Chicago or Saint Paul, Brooklyn will likely need to win all of their remaining games including against Boston in week 17 to take the division title away from the Irish. Although Brooklyn could afford a loss next week to 8-5 Lake County, but only if Boston somehow manages to do the same against 4-9 Punxsutawney.

Speaking of Boston the once again division leading, 8-5 Fighting Irish face off against similarly 8-5 Camden this week. Boston could lose this game and still work their way back into the division title but Camden, should they lose, would find themselves on the wrong end of tiebreakers against both Boston (head to head) and Brooklyn (division record) as a result.

                      NC WEST

This week in the NC West 9-4 Pearl Harbor faces off against 9-4 San Francisco. A win by the Defenders would give them a clean sweep of the Bayhawks and with only 4-9 Anchorage and 3-10 Las Vegas remaining on the schedule, the easiest route to the division title. But as Brooklyn demonstrated so recently, easy does not mean automatic. Yuma is waiting just one game back of Pearl Harbor. While the two teams do not play again this season, a loss by the Defenders against either Anchorage or Las Vegas could not only push Pearl Harbor back into a tie with Yuma in overall record but also give the Aces key tiebreakers over the Defenders (common games from Anchorage, division record from Las Vegas). The two teams split their head to head meetings.

If San Francisco wins this week the Aces also have a chance to work their way back into a division crown, a much more direct one. Yuma already has one win versus the Bayhawks, and the two teams play again in week 17. Of course before any of that matters Yuma has to win against Las Vegas this week.
