So we sneak a win vs 1-6 Puxywhatdoyoucallit, not sure why Upshaw my super stud WR gets just 5 targets against a 39/39 bum CB and is never doubled, now that confused me but this play from the Memphis Vs Phoenix game just had me laughing.

Phoenix are 8 points up inside the 2 minute warning and the go heavy run defense. (is that even possible!) Cost them 42 yards and probably the game.

Memphis: Pro formation, strength is left. The defense is in a 43 with nickel personnel and weak-side man, otherwise cover-7 zone coverage, keying aggressively on the run. Korr is blitzing.
2-2-MEM41 (4Q: 01:42) Walt Johnson pass completed to RB Levon Doelle for 42 yards. Tackled by S Glenn Shelton. Doelle gained 30 yards after the catch.

if only it was that one play id be ok with it 2nd and 2 we got caught in a run blitz i can live with that.


what i cant live with is sammy jennings 1st pass was an int and while the game is tied under 30 seconds, take a kneww and go to OT.... nope that makes too much sense.


3-6-PHO46 (4Q: 00:19) Sammy Jennings pass was intended for TE Wild thing Vaughn and was intercepted by ILB Conrad Atkins at the MEM47. The interception was returned 23 yards. Tackled by Wild thing Vaughn.

Oh, I am sure after our game, we won't be looking so hot as far as defensive categories go. I am happy to be where we are though. :)

Are you down a LB currently? It's odd, that you're running a 3-4, but don't have any pass rush out of the WLB.
