GG to Pearl Harbor.
First game with no turnovers for us. Jesus had his fourth 300+ yard game, but we are still struggling to punch the ball in. We were able to put a few more points up but once again, it came down to the last drive of the game. These close calls will catch up with us, as seen in the St Paul match up last week. We were lucky time ran out on PH, as they got into field goal range with the last pass. Happy with the 3-1 start, just need some tweaks and getting Schulz and Lane back. Thankfully we have our bye this week so we can rest and get ready for our trip to Sin City. Maybe we will head out there a bit early and enjoy some Vegas fun!Last edited by sirem; 10-26-2013, 06:56 PM.:Charlotte Sentinels: :GM::Circa 2030:

Apparently I made a mistake putting the ball in Columbo's hands this week while going against quite possibly the top run defense in the league so far. It looks like I'll get my money's worth out of Michael Glenn and Tracy Conlan. I thought with those guys, we'd be multi-dimensional this year on offense, but it looks like the running game will have to carry the load. Happy with the run defense though after giving up 171 yards mostly to Boston's backup RB. We stopped the Gorilla. The 25 carries for 99 yards is deceiving as he got I think around 50 on his last two carries, when you guys just needed to run the clock down. With that, this year is shaping up to be a year of shortcomings on both sides of the ball and with San Fran on the road coming up, things aren't going to get any easier.
Around the league, what a game in Morgantown. Garion surely went to cheering to cussing to breathing a sigh of relief in real short time.
We needed everything we got out of our pass game in a tight contest though. Not a pretty win, but we'll take it any time we can get it against Columbus. GG man.

We finally sneak our way into the W column, although there at the end I thought for certain we were going to let it slip away.
Looking at the box score, Paul Harward managed 5 catches, but he sure made them count, pulling in long TDs left, right and sideways. His last one came with less than 30 seconds on the clock, and then Saint Paul recoverd the onside kick.
"Anyone but Harward. Anyone but Harward." was the mantra heard on Camden sideline. It must have worked, the Bandits threw three passes to anyone but Harward and time ran out on them at our 42 yard line.
A 1-3 start is a long way from our 3-1 start last year, but I think this might be a better team. Last year we lucked our way to some sloppy victories then completely fell apart in the middle part of the season. This year we have been very competative against some good teams (Opp win% fell this week from 1.000 to only 0.800). We will have another chance to put that theory to the test here as next week as 4-0 Dakota comes to town.Last edited by rando; 10-27-2013, 10:38 PM.
