Well, that was a win, an ugly one at that. Plenty of fumbles and turnovers in this this one. Defense came up huge with a few big stops when Gainesville was in striking range to limit them just to a couple field goals. Pass rush was non-existent today, but that's why we're bringing Stegman in. It was also definitely encouraging to see that we won this game thanks to our running backs making plays, including Tircuit, who'll probably be relegated to the inactive roster. Now we can add Michael Glenn to the mix and hopefully not have to overwork him.

Big test against Memphis next week. We need to follow up a huge road win to start off the season with a big win in our home opener.

    GG Ozias.

Berger I hope Tircuit's nickname is "Short."

Real grinder of a game against North Liberty and we came out on top, 23-13. Nice to have Hutchins back although it seems he gave up 5 catches in this game. That probably won't happen again all season!

Unfortunately, WR Herb Newman has a concussion and the rest of the team has the flu, so week 2 is going to be interesting.

Phils 16-42 Extreme: We knew Punxsuwhatevertherecalled would run with Steel at the helm so we played to stop it early and it seemed to work. QB Covington then had lots of fun with 5tds and zero picks as star WR Upshaw had 3 scores. Pretty pleased with smashing a divisional rival on opening day as we had our star Centre out and 3 CB's hurt by about the 2nd drive of the game. GG Steel

gg marv. Utah blows out Denver in the opener. Randy Boone opened on fire, 11-for-11 and 212 yards and 2 TDs. He wouldn't make it to 300 in his next 14 attempts, but his anemic running game broke a couple long gains in the 4th quarter.

Meanwhile, the defense had a really good day, notching 50.0 PR% and 90.0 PD% on Denver's 24 dropbacks and 20 pass attempts. The Griz managed only 128 yards on the entire day, making this one of the more auspicious starts we've had. That's a pretty strong Denver team still, despite the departure of Grant Liening.

2 INTs in our red zone help us take the Gladiolas to OT and we march down quite impressively to take it. Helluva start. Gene Sante's performance makes Rico's injury flare up for another week at least.

                        Another classic, 13-14 ewwww

we sacked Cash 7 times but he kept getting back up bit of a role reversal we only threw it 17 times. Morrison was held to only 3 catches. bubba payed dividend 3.5 sacks and 5 tackles

We won, but not bigtime. Struggle fest. Good run game though, we'll need that.

                                gg bomber33bomber.

Surprisingly close, a 3 point loss with a blocked field goal as time expired. Much better performance on our part than our last trip into Brooklyn, when the Hitmen whacked us to the tune of 31-17.

We switched quarterbacks at the last minute for this game, putting Harvey Lustgarten in over last year's starter, Nate Reese. Reese's only strength is his high Sense Rush bar and in hindsight that might have served us better against Brooklyn's pass rush. Lustgarten was sacked 3 times this game, the last of which effectively put that blocked field goal out of range. Three sacks is also two more than Reese had been brought down by Brooklyn in 3 full games.

The only other news of note this week out of Camden, freshly signed DE Freddie Rivard is already disgruntled. Seriously, he hasn't even been here a week and he's already complaining. I can only assume he really dislikes New Jersey. Dude should'a paid more attention in geography class, or at least asked his agent before he signed the contract.
