        NC South ... wooooohoooo?

Charlotte having made it through an offseason without being largely forgotten by its owner (sorry, Jake, but tis true) should mean they're gonna wipe the division. Will this be the year of The Jesus?!?! If not, it may be a while before Charlotte becomes a true contender as sirem traded away every pick for the next 10 seasons to draft (*checks notes*) no one worth remembering. Yeah, that's me challenging you to a duel.

Also, Columbus is no longer AI run, so who knows, but by the look of it that Morgantown owner clearly is AI and has no idea what he's doing. QB controversy for the soon-to-no-longer-be Maniacs? Are either QBs any good anyway? That running game is sure to scare people at least.A RB on crutches can knock stiff arm like nobody's business. It's fully expected that the backup/starting/backup QB will have more yards than any of their RBs this season.

And Ozias has been rebooting Gainesville for as long as I can remember now. You lose one HOF WR to retirement and the whole world blows up in Florida. In the rush to fill the hole that was going to be left by now-retired WR Strickland, Ozias sold his soul in the 2029 draft, which will forever be known as the year of Richardson and Weeden, or whatever their names were. Point being? Their top picks of the 2029 draft were just jettisoned. So long, farewell, ya busts. I'll probably be saying the same about the 2031 draft in a few more seasons.

What does this all add up to? The NC South was once the division the Bees came to in order to get stung, but now there's no identity in the division. That means a lot of 6-10 or 8-8 teams that no one is afraid of. Except Charlotte. If they pull it together this year and get over the Columbus hump they're a shoe in to make noise in the playoffs. A couple of stud WRs and a once in a lifetime QB will do that. Unless their line continues to blow. Which it probably will.

The race to the bottom starts now!

I'm trying to deploy the parachute. Good teams or not, the race should be entertaining nonetheless.

Before Jake stopped running the team there were a couple seasons where they were Rexxed. One year he didn't sign his draft picks until the second half of the season. That's how they ended up with so many weapons.

I screwed myself. I've been so busy, and somewhat lazy when it comes to FOF last couple weeks, that I never sat my starters and my stud CB is out for the first several weeks of the season. Not sure if we can stop anyone without him. He's pretty special.

Locked & loaded. On one hand, feels like we're a trainwreck, especially with Rico sitting due to an injury.

On the other, we have a lot of young talent. Missing some key pieces, especially along the OL, but lots to look at. 5 starters are rookies (3 on the OL), and 4 2nd-year.

                    Looking forward to -

West coast offense. Still don't have *the* QB to do it, but the WRs, TE, and RB match up well. Short passing game will benefit us for many reasons.

Percy Campbell - This monster was very green last year, now starting to hit his stride. 69/79, wouldn't be surprised to see him hit 80+.

Rickey Gaither - always. Love this guy. 8 INTs last year, after only having 4 in the prior two years combined. A lot of that has to do with Edgar Bradley stepping it up on the other side.

                    Wincing at -

Gene Sante - I really want this guy to work out, but his 0 sense rush has always kept him benched. Combined with a sieve of an offensive line - this could be ugly.

My back up Peterson have also very low SR and he plays very well everytime that steps up, few years ago he carry us into the play offs pool... so if you have a good OL don't need to worry so much...

nelmsim we meet yet again my friend...... this has become quite the rivalry no matter what the monsters record is they play us tougher than we like they possibly have the antidote to what ive assembled 2 shutdown corners im only favored by 3 so its basically a toss up.
