problems accessing.the site

I'm posting this from my phone, but I am having a hell of a time getting on the site the last few days. At first I thought it was just my home PC bit at work and art home the site is super slow and IM getting 404 and 503 errors. And it's kinda sluggish from my . every other site is fine. Is it just me?

I get 404 on the chat page only

FYI, Brad's deleted the chat.php page (for now) because it seems to be causing issues with the host.

I don't think that has stopped the issues, however.

Been the same for me. It comes and goes.

My theories:

a) it's because every page makes calls to the database. So even if there's no new chats, it still has the same server stress.

b) it's an unrelated issue.

I don't see exactly why this would cause so much stress on the server but it's definitely not the first time conscriptor has been fingered as a culprit in the FOF world, so I suppose that wouldn't be too surprising.

I noticed a lot of lag on my computer last night, but my phone was about normal.

Definitely seems more responsive for me so far

The Draft function on the Utility is a HOG. We're exceeding the bandwidth limit on our host by almost three fold. Call it suspensions or downtime, either way, it's what's putting us out from time to time right now.

Not idea, I know, but the league may want to look at a Google Chat or some type of alternative option for that chatting during the draft.

The updated draft utility that Wheels modded has an external flash chat room. It's not as much of a hog, but I've had problems in several leagues that use it because I've not had email notifications, they either stop randomly or come through in a big bulk of 50-100 a few days late
