Good news! Emmanuel Logan re-signed at the veteran minimum for the Bees, which is about all we were willing to extend him.

After losing Slaten and Tyler, it's nice to have one of the three cohesion-boosting veterans on the defensive front back, and at this price, we have all the money in the world.

But nobody to spend it on, after the signings of DT Terrance Patino, and WR Vinny Ireson.

330k bonus and 30M salary per year. Well played. I admit; we got beat. They can afford it, too, it seems. That has to be the best use of cap space I've seen in a long time. When Ireson retires they will take on nothing.

Our offer was 8M in total bonus and 18M in salary. I had an acceptable cap loss figure for next year in there and thought I was beating everyone on salary anyway. I guess Waco just had more cap room to play with than I was sure Utah had (after draft picks and especially renegotiations), but I always estimate too conservatively.

    Lesson learned

Yeah I guess you could say that we hit the sweet spot with that contract offer. Hopefully he doesn't crash a bunch in TC.

Even if he does with that contract you can cut him. Very well done, Waco.

True enough. Thanks for the props guys. A guy has to do everything he can to try and knock off Utah.
