In a completely unrelated-to-FOF anecdote, I just watched the Departed this evening on Blu-Ray. Damn fine movie. I feel a little bit like cursing and shooting people right now, but otherwise I think my soul is unaffected. Great flick though.

Quick poll - favorite Scorsese film? I think Casino is still my favorite. But I think the Departed might rank second now.

just picked up a 4 film set of Scorcese at COSTCO : Departed, Aviator, Mean Streets (never saw that one -- mid 70's Deniro) and Goodfellas --- Not bad for $40 considering I was going to buy Departed for $20... Still haven't watched Departed - glad to hear it's very good...
