MILFORD, MI -- Mechanics' QB Glen Hecht has not been asked to win games for his team. His main job is simply not to lose them. Now, with 2 losses in their last 3 games, fans and local sports radio are starting to question whether the 14-year vet should be starting for this team.
This billboard even popped up on westbound I-96 just south of the team's headquarters in Milford:

The sign was purchased by a website called "Play Roy Reese" referring to the Motor City backup.
When reached for comment, Glen Hecht would only say, "I trust in Coach and his decisions. He's going to do what's best for the team. We're 4-2. I don't feel like my job is in jeopardy, but if he think's Roy should be under Center, I just want to see this team win."
We'll be monitoring Mechanics' practice closely this week to see if Reese gets any extra snaps with the first team as they prepare for a date with North Liberty.
