      Our RB that we had just anointed as our starter bit the dust in TC this year, at the ripe old age of Year 5.

      That's the worst part of this. Some other age hits, but nothing we shouldn't have seen coming with this old team.

      But Green was a rising youngish star and now he's on the roster bubble.

      Lesson learned: never trust a RB, don't care how young they are. OK, maybe year 4 and under is OK.

      Also, our 100 roster rating finally toppled. It did in the early offseason each of the past two years but we gained it back by LFA. I think this is the first post-TC 2nd place roster rating finish in a while; I for one, welcome our new Ohio Valley overlords

        Had a third year guy die on me just as my older vet was finishing his career. NEVER trust a RB!

            Ageing pass rush vets Dirksen and Vuong both dropped quite heavily now that age is catching up with them.
            I had a plan in place for next season, but this could be a big loss until our rookies mature

                  I am very happy with how the team looks after this camp. We have a ton of talent on the defensive front, suddenly TWO stud corners, and no significant changes to our offense that was one of the best in the league last year.

                  The Irish are pumped to start the season

                    Goodness.

                    Yr 10 LB Cary Norris -24/-24
                    Yr 7 CB Ben Garrison -12/-12
                    Yr 8 DE Fern Footman -9/-9

                    As a team we went -25/-179.

                    That's just fantastic! I couldn't have asked for anything more.

                      +6 on that QB though, he looks like a stud :)

                        Yup, the QB is a huge hit.

                          1.13 CB Ian Manculich 29/49 -> 31/56 (+2/+7, moved to S)
                          2.15 ILB Grant Prescott 25/53 -> 29/49 (+4/-4)
                          3.11 WR Al Bernstein 7/27 -> 9/27 (+2/0)
                          3.22 QB Luther Lyon 13/50 -> 19/52 (+6/+2)
                          4.13 QB Britt Wooden 3/26 -> 6/30 (+3/+4)
                          4.25 P K.C. Rogers 27/43 -> 29/46 (+2/+3)
                          5.12 RB Eric Jefferson 24/43 -> 25/42 (+1/-1)
                          5.23 DT Les Everitt 28/45 -> 29/46 (+1/+1)
                          7.13 WR Bryant Korte 14/17 -> 16/18 (+2/+1)

                          UDFA G George Marcheck 14/43 -> 18/42 (+4/-1)
                          UDFA DE Norman Bulger 10/30 -> 12/30 (+2/0)
                          UDFA S Irv Linquist 18/37 -> 20/40 (+2/+3)

                          So pretty good draft in general for the Jaguars. Only downside is our 2nd rounder and the receivers, probably my worst 2nd rounder since I'm here.

                          But other than that is really good. Luther Lyon +2 as a 3rd rounder QB, and 52 rated, I guess we have a QB. He was VO for my scouts, but we took our chances, and was the right move. The other QB went +4, but he starts too low, he should be a great backup in the future though. Manculich as expected, let's see if he can reach the high 60s, or even the 70s. The other good news are, DT Les Everitt, 46 rated for a 5th rounder, and UDFA S Irv Linquist who went +3.

                          The non-rookies, we're suddenly bad at DE, thanks we change to a 3-4 two seasons ago. And biggest disappointment, 2nd year T Shannon Mitchem, who went -12.

                            Total dud of a draft, although it looks like a fairly decent rb -> wr conversion.

                            On the positive side, Frodo and Webb held pretty well. We're very deep at WR, lots of BPR, and a good QB. We will be throwing a lot; but also, stud TE and FB, veteran OL, means that Hanks will be a considerable threat as well.

                            We are very shallow at DB after Gaither. Other than that though, feeling pretty primed for a couple years of serious contention.

                              Rough draft for me, though I didn't expect my T to drop like he did. Bummer.

                              WR Ellis Kyourac dropped as expected but he still looks serviceable. Worth a first rounder? Not really, but I got stuck working with what the draft had available.

                              Big news for me is that my QB draftee of last year, Leon Jennings, looks to be a keeper for me. After Sole he went +4/+1, which I'll take. He doesn't necessarily excel in any one area, but is average across the board. That works in my more spread out offense (ie. I don't throw it down field all day long).

                              Roger Salinger didn't get hit, which means I'll still have an offense.
