Randy Boone turns down my first two overtures and 11th-year Hunter Vandersommen holds out for serious cash.

All of a sudden, the Bees have all the cap space in the world.

The first rule of rookie UDFAs: don't forget that they are just players in the draft pool that didn't get drafted, with combine scores that are right there on their player card. Don't get caught up in that 60-potential rookie who has completely horrible scores in every category, for example.

Julio got the shaft this sim. Drafts a fullback in the 2nd round...and he gets suspended. As a rookie. And PC got two players suspended. That's harsh!

I can give Nutah a lot credit with that... OLB Mo Shapiro 15/59 when he was Undrafted Rookie... So I put the bank on him 35 Millions for 5 Years... Now Heīs a 16/29 disaster and really cap eater, canīt cut him due the penalty that supose... Rookie mistake which hurt me a lot 3 years after

Conversely, if you have the cap space, use it. Just blow it on one-year deals (IMO). If they work out, they're RFAs and you can re-sign them in the off-season. If it doesn't, no harm no foul.

I remember the bidding wars on punters a few years back. I went with the second best one on a 1 year deal for about $6m guaranteed. He's been resigned twice since at much better deals.
