We're battling injuries this week as we face off against a rising Lake County team. Some unusual ones, too. LT Artie Samuels missing part of the reg season will hurt, but Max Reese should be able to step in nicely (sure glad I got him!)

Current leading receiver Hunter Vandersommen coming down with an indefinite case of extreme anxiety....well, I dunno. Hopefully we don't have too many more scary movies on the team events schedule. I hear 'The Ring' really did him in, but who can blame the guy? He can't be on the same field with that jumbo screen anymore.

Holy balls Paul Covington is good. I sense multiple rings in his future, not just loosing bowl trips. If Lake County should ever get a receiver to replace Ireson, watch out. Watching my defense try to play against him was mildly put, terrifying.

Somehow, again, Utah turns the tide in the end and pulls one out. This time the hero is fullback Mario Evanswhite, who showed off the receiving athleticism of our FB pair (both are very good at this) in a 31-yard TD pass to put some distance between us and the Xtreme.

Randy didn't have such a bad day himself, in the end. He started 5/10 but went 15/19 after that, with no turnovers.

4th-year RB Ryan Green is about to grab this starting job by the horns. He's fumbled twice in his Utah career. Rookie 1st-rounder Michael Glenn matched that number today.

gg Plastic. We escaped out of this one, it was hard fought and highly competitive. Looking forward to not playing you guys again for a while.

Brittle and Old Columbus did better against us than Super Bowl Columbus did last year.

Lesson learned: FEAR THE BRITTLE AND OLD.

Grinding with the gorilla and going over the top occasionally has been a winning blueprint for us thus far. Only 18 attempts for Garner this week, but he did a lot with them. The defense was superb with Ernest Matthews continuing his outstanding safety play.

RB Kinney put up the 4th best single game rushing with 228 yards, he surpassed his previous high of 219.

Still a ways off of Salinger's top mark of 251 yards, but I'll take 228 yards from Kinney every week if he can do it.

Shocked to see QB Erickson holds the records for most yards passing in a game at 603, with QB Shedd bringing up 2nd place with 530yds. These 2 QB's are the only ones in the history of the league to pass for more than 500 yards in a single game.

Nothing but defense in this one. Took us 5 interceptions just to pull out a 7-3 win.

Sharks rally the fire birds in a no huddle 15 points in the last 4 minutes to grab the second W of the season versus a really compensated team... With three total turnovers seems that the first half was the worst that we can play... .No rush, incompletions and give aways

But this year our defense is pretty diferent and after limiting damages star O. Neill put the QB on the ground and the ball pops loose Brant Thomas grab the ball and put it in the house to start the comeback...

In the last quarter Andrews put "Tom Brady" mode in his engine and tosses the ball everywhere and show why Middleton is a sure fuure FB and the price paid per him is right!!! A. Hargrave is better every week and grab 97 yards and 1 TD in 7 catches from 10 Targets

Great game, great sensations and better rookies!!

GG Strick expect to face against ypu again on January!!

                    Go Sharks!!

They're going to have to sign Benny Lava to play QB now.
