    First W and our starts to show a lot much better than the last year!!

    9.5 Points per game and one of the best of the league right now!

    Our offense is pretty anemic without TE K. Chervet depressed and with only Neal Howe as a real threat A. Hargrave makes another solid game with 90 yards on 5 catches...

    A lot work to do but this two games on the road seems the start of something good!

    GG South Maryland!
    Miami Sharks (BLB)
    * BLB Champions --> 2017, 2020.

    Ohio River Sharks (OSFL)
    * OSFL Bowl CHAMPION > 2036, 2047.

      Put a nice lead up against Phoenix and they stormed back, but we pulled away in the end. 102 yd kickoff return TD by Barnikow helped. Very solid games from McBriar and Duckworth and our defense is still getting a pass rush without AJ Hassett.

      Rookie Louie Heinlein had a couple big catches and a TD, and Troy Barnhill pulled in 5 catches and a TD. Barnhill only had something like 7 catches in the first 3 seasons of his career!

        gg Matt. I don't know if you watched the sole, but St. Paul was trading score for score and giving us all we could handle early on. Beisel completed everything he wanted and the Bandits steadily marched down the field. 5/7 to open on 3rd down.

        At some point the tide turned in our favor, and once we got the lead, Beisel had to face near a full quarter of familiars and it did him in.

        the positives — We found our running game, sort of. It wasn't consistent overall, but both Ryan Green and rookie Michael Glenn broke a couple of big runs. Passing-wise, a solid, efficient day for Randy & co. Doesn't look like we'll set any yardage records anytime soon.

        the negatives — Defense is worrisome. Left tackle Artie Samuels will miss the next five games with a broken arm.

          Yeah, wasn't really expecting a win here. But like what the defense did - 0/3 in the red zone, forced 6 field goals. Most of those were because of offensive goofs. Not a good game by us, but some positives.

            That was more what I expected from our team. Although we were still much more competitive than we should have been.

            GG.

              I remember Barnhill.. He was just stuck behind too many better receivers in his time here and we never ran into any serious injury trouble, so he rarely saw the field.. I thought he might have a little something in him though, good to see him prove that.

              We couldn't run the ball much this week, but in the end all that mattered was getting points on the board and we did enough of that to get the win. Garner is hot to start the year, partially because of his 3 affinities I think.. But I wonder if he felt threatened by our drafting of Kroll. Darrin Schoen is really hitting his stride in his 3rd year it seems, and rookie Hanson really looked good in his first action as our number 3 WR. Defensively we have been stout, but I realized I had Schulz playing out of position for the first couple weeks, and that's gonna have to change.
