  • Week 2 Discussion

We have a BRUTAL road trip here... @Yuma, @Waco, @Denver. Yuma is solid from fore to aft, very little to pick on here. Can't let Albert Garner carve us up like Pleasant just did.

Think we match up well, but not feeling good about being on their home turf. Although it is lovely and pillowy-soft.

    Our turf is also desert-y.

Not excited about a tough opponent, but interested in getting an early indication as to what kind of talent we're working with this year.

Gornitsky is pounding raw eggs and denting things with his head getting ready for this one.

Interested to see how our rookie QB does in his first road game. He was OK in the season opener. Nothing special, but not overwhelmed at least. Sadly, we lose his best target for at least this week and maybe a couple more as S Wells is questionable this week and we're not taking any chances.

Boone-Beisel again! This time, it's a St. Paul Beisel, so that's new. Hopefully, we re-establish the ground game this week.

Tons of injuries on my team, but hopefully they'll start to clear up soon. WE GO AS FAR AS THE DUCK OF DEATH TAKES US.

Alas, the fans of Dakota are in love with Brady Marcum at punter. Maybe if Utah's punter can play all the other positions at once.

Of course he can, didn't you see the stat sheet for their game?

Utah had 2 INT's and 3 fumble recovery's, all of them by the P Ellison.

He was a one man wrecking crew. He also ran for 80yds and passed for 266 with 2 TD's.

Heck, the only thing he didn't do, was play WR in the game, but with the stats he put up passing and running, let alone the Defense he played, I'm not sure how much more Ellison could of done.

Oh wait, he did do more, he kicked 4 FG's as well.....I'm telling ya, Ellison is a monster of a football player, and you'd be happy to make this kind of trade.

Courtney Ellison doesn't punt. The ball just runs away from him.

The last time we played St. Paul, it was in the second game of the 2023 regular season. Utah was coming off a 38-3 drubbing of Los Alamos, where Randy Boone had a terrific day (but one pick). Boone threw 2 picks and 108 yards and went on to have the worst year of his modern career.

We're hoping this year doesn't repeat itself. Boone looked impressive (despite 1 pick) in the 54-3 opener against Phoenix, although the Utah offense only scored two touchdowns. St. Paul's secondary looks once again, dangerous. GL Matt.
