  • Jamie FRancis PUNX PHIL -player of week? huge aberration

82.1 % completion % and a 128 rating by a low 20 overall rated QB ---- Anybody else ever see an aberration like this?

Even Kyle Boller had a good game here and there :)

      Sure, why not?

Any player can get it done for a game or two with low scout ratings. Otherwise we could just count up everyone's player ratings and declare winners and losers that way. ;)

      What do scouts know, anyway?

That's why they play the game!

In one of my careers, a 17/35 rated QB had a 250 plus yard game against me and completed 65% of his passes. It was just a fluke as the rest of the year he had a passer rating that was absolutely horrible and threw 12 picks against 1 TD before the original starter returned from his injury and took the job back over.

Also, like Cotton said, scouts make mistakes. It is important to look at stats as well as scout ratings.

I had a center in another league that was a good but not great 50/60 overall, but would always lead the league in blocking stats for centers. I couldn't afford to play him this past season so I traded him to Hoosier and he still kicked ass. Until his latest owie. He's probably going to be HOF, even though there's about 10 other centers with better ratings.

Obviously, I love the aberration in the coding of this game (especially when it's on my team and to the positive.) I've never even played a full season and this is my first MP ever ---- It's fantastic that you can say "on any given Sunday"... with this game (and individual players)

And Hoosier loves the guy, too. Although I kept my starting Center from last year as insurance and signed a decent free agent center at the beginning of the season, and we ain't skipped a beat yet!

I'm awfully cautiously optimistic about my Riders though. It's hard to tell how good we are just yet. I'm waiting for the bottom to fall out any game now.

My 11 rated QB had almost 300 yards... Seems like lots of abberations popped up this week.
