Well, that was a pretty short-lived fall from 100 roster rating. Last week we were all the way down to 90, tied with a lot of other teams in 6th or 7th place or whatever it was. I forgot that I didn't have a RB under contract -- missing a position group under contract really sends you plummeting, even if it's FB.

The overall Roster Ratings list underwent a pretty drastic change from FA1-2 to FA1-3, actually. It's very volatile this time of year.

It is pointless to make an offer to a player with an illegal deal on the table or do we just go ahead as normal?

If your deal is better than the illegal deal you'll get the player anyway, so yes, depending.

I'd go ahead as normal. That illegal deal might get realized by the team and revoked. If an illegal deal wins it'll just get voided. It shouldn't affect how you proceed, except you can just look at that as a deal you don't have to beat.

Then don't worry, it's not illegal anymore. :)

Oh, sorry, I've forgotten the rule completely this year. Must be the fever (I'm with the flu), will never happen again

                      I got DT Chandler!!

I may have over paid, but I figured I'd better make a big offer right from the start to have a chance at landing the best DT on the FA market. He will allow me to stay in the 4-3 for the next 4-5 seasons.

Now hopefully I can land another key FA or two.

I got defeated by my own cheapness again. We will reinvest all that extra cap space in feeding the entire population of Dakota for the next 50 years.

It's like I'm running Bill Bidwell's Cardinals with all this cap space.
