The citizens of The United States of SGN America are tired of the billions of bailout money being poured into the teams of the OSFL, and they'd really like their beloved teams to reach financial solvency, if you please.
CLB, DAK,GAI, LAC, MEM, and YUM were the only teams to turn a profit in 2026 (yikes!) And while CLB and GAI made big money (and everyone but Dakota were in the second tier), the number of teams losing near or over $100 million was staggering.
Based on what mike said, seems like once you lose enough you can only offer a baseline. Which means there were roughly 20 teams in the OSFL this year that could offer $6 million max for a DC.
Game Mechanics:
How much the team profits or loses has no real consequences. It solely determines how much money you have available to hire coaches. And it's also slotted: #1 earning team gets ____, and so on down. So you aren't in any REAL danger no matter how much you lose.
However, as bad shape as a lot of teams are in, there is probably a lot to gain from shoring up your finances.
Ticket Prices:
-Max out Lux Boxes to 399 (Stadium Renovate -- lasts 3 seasons, WILL be expensive)
-If Lux Boxes have 100% attendance, you aren't charging NEARLY enough.
-Max out Club Seats to 19,900, if you can. Not as important as Lux Boxes I think...
-Try to aim for high attendance on the lower seats. Higher attendance will get you more money than jacking up the already-low prices.
-Look at teams like CLB/GAI/YUM/etc who are earning good money for ideas on ticket price levels to set. CLB is charging 350k per lux box, for example.
Coaches:
Not worth it to offer less than the max allowed for coaches. Won't impact your profit/loss to a significant degree.
Also, the only thing that profit/loss number is FOR is to put you in position to get better coaches. So, no sense in penny-pinching, right?
Players:
Coach hiring is ultimately less important than getting the players you need. While player costs can influence profit a good deal, it's never worth it to prioritize coach hiring over getting talent -- especially if you don't need to hire coaches in a given year.
The cap is there to be used: use it. Just be smart and don't land in future cap trouble by handing out big money, big bonus deals to marginal about-to-be-old players (*cough* Marvin Daluiso*cough*).
