No retirements from SMD this year, I was expecting at least DT Charlie Patton to retire. Guess I'll have to tag him, but we'll see, Scukanek it's ready to start.
Oh, and OLB Stan Lee wins the DPOY in our first season at 3-4. Bad new for next season is that we don't have a QB1Next year will be tough.

Two AC East Legends got inducted into the HOF:
Lake County's QB Nick Pipkin, 99% vote: 1 ring and a Bowl MVP, 1st in all-time completions, 2nd in pass yards, and 3rd in Pass TDs, and the iron man: tied for all time games started. He was clutch for us for 3/4 of the OSFL's life and his career ended tied for 5th in all-time 4th quarter comebacks.
Motor City's RB Chris Gardner 95% vote: 2 time league MVP and Offensive POY, a one time rookie of the year he is the OSFL all-time leader in yards from scrimmage and 2nd in all other major rushing categories. He also holds the record for rushing yards in a season with a mind- blowing 2,203 yards.
Pipkin got this franchise many wins and our only bowl victory glad he gets in with almost 100% vote. I thought it would take a while to replace Pipkin but Covington has stepped right in and made the team his own.
I remember the Gardener/Canada debate during that draft...I think Gardner won. He was amazing for MTC and set some records that might never be broken, I could gameplan for him and he would still run all overs us twice a year.OSFL: Lake County Extreme 2008-2028, 2010 Champions
BLB: Morgantown MoHawks
BBA: Star City Shooters

Big money guard Skip Mandera hangs it up after only 9 seasons. I expected he would see out his contract at the very least, but he's left us with a big hole on the o-line, and lost us a lot of cap roomNew Orleans Stingrays GM 2024-2029
Regular Season: 45-49-2
Playoffs: 1-4
AC South Champions: 2024, 2027, 2029
Wildcard: 2026

Some big retirements here in Camden, none bigger than three time league MVP Burt Newman.
1800 rushing yards and 15 total TDs? That was an “average” year for Mr. Newman.
Burt's not just the league's all time leading rusher, he's the league's leading rusher by more than 2300 yards over Cris Garner, and he played one fewer season than Garner.
He's not just the league's all time leader in rushing touchdowns, he has more than twice as many as any currently active player. Roger Salinger and Desmond Kinney would have to keep scoring touchdowns at their current rate for the next 8 years to catch up with him.
If Salinger and Kinney do both manage to maintain their current level of performance for 8 more seasons, they might also be able to catch up to Burt's record 94 100 yard rushing games. Max Montano has a better shot at this, he'd only need to maintain his current level of performance for another 6 seasons.
Julio Strickland would have to play another 5 years at his current level to pass Newman's career total touchdown record, Shawn Wells, 7 more years without injury or other drop offs. They'd both have to play into their 15th season at their current rates. Shannon Rudzinski retired this year after playing 13 seasons in the league's most dangerous offense and as one of the best return men in the game. He finished with 17 fewer touchdowns than Burt.
There were only two negatives on what was otherwise a phenomenal caree. Newman was never much of a threat catching the ball. Despite his huge advantage in rushing yards he finished his career 40 yards behind Cris Garner in total yards from scrimmage. And he fumbled the ball... a lot. 91 times in during the regular season, more than any other RB in league history. But then again he also carried the ball more than any other back in league history.
One last note before moving on, in 21 seasons Camden has had only 2 starting running backs. Both of those backs retired as the league's all time leading rusher. Hello Mr. Bartoszek, here are your shoes to fill. Good luck with that.
Also retiring
WR Roy Garner, the league's all time leader in punt return yardage and punt return touchdowns. But he's only the league's all time leader in just two categories, so he's only our second biggest retirement of the year.
WR Emmitt Hall, brought back for a second go round in Camden last year as a special teams/chemistry guy, turned into one of our most reliable wide receivers last year.
FB Corwin Metzenbaum, the greatest impact/carry of any back in team history. Too bad it wasn't in a good way.
DE Tito Terrell, picked up in a trade with Utah was a key part of our defensive line during our championship run before being downgraded to mentor/chemistry guy status. Still managed to rack up 3 sacks last season, despite almost never setting foot on the field.
OLB Robert Jamison, our biggest FA acquisition in the last few years, was constant play maker at SLB for us.
