  • Week 14 Discussion

Utah travels to Yuma, where we'll face our old friend Riddick Schulz coming off the edge, now as a 3-4 WLB. Robinette will look to pick off some Albert Garner passes, and our starting WRs are now named Zach Coughlin and Ray Mansker...

We will need to take advantage of that depleted WR corps and get some serious pass rush to give ourselves a chance. We'll have to try and keep the score low and avoid turnovers. Pete Korber finally returning after battling blurred vision most of the season will hopefully give us an even better pass rush. If we can run the ball, I think we can win. If we find ourselves constantly in 3rd and long, I think we'll lose. Good luck, Nutah.

Hopefully the Mechanics can be "broken up" by many interceptions being thrown against them.

gg Julio. That is some kind of run defense you have over there at Yuma, my gosh. We weren't explosive today, but just crisp enough to score enough points to win. A couple of interceptions from linebacker Dan Harper helped shut down Yuma's attack and seal the deal.

This was a huge win for us. Yuma's an extremely talented team - I can't believe any team has a better set of trench units on both sides of the ball - and we needed to show we could still hang with the best of the best. With our WRs on the ice, Yuma should be in effect the #1 roster rating in the league currently.

With PHO, LVS, and DEN upcoming, we'll have three more tests against playoff caliber teams to tune up for the playoffs.

Crap, possible game winning drive in the final 2 minutes, rookie RB catches a 27 yard pass at the ten, then drops the ball!

This was one of those games the FOF gods had me down to lose by any means

Busted out a 21-3 lead on the Mechanics and held on to win 24-21, with the difference being a 52 yard field goal by Ike Hoffman who earlier missed from 46.

Pat Donaghy's first five targets: 27 yd TD, 83 yd TD, and 3 drops. haha

Team only fumbled once and we didn't lose that one. Duckworth ran wild after a slow start. McBriar missed a lot of passes but he hit enough big ones when he had to. A.J. Hassett continues to be the best pass rusher I've ever had in FOF, despite not racking up sacks.

Dustin Chorak is gone to a 35 week injury, an inguinal hernia. What a great 1st round pick he was! (Not.) Fortunately my backup is decent.
