gg terdan. I love that Pearl Harbor running game, and this isn't the first time in the preseason or regular season where it's given us fits. Rodriguez & Clayton are a very formidable duo, you gotta keep those guys together. Modest draft picks too...good stuff.

Josh Beuter was pretty awesome today. I guess I have to eat crow for ever doubting him at all. Starting to get pretty nervous because I know a lot of teams around the league are getting weapons like this, and they're the kind of things our passing game in Utah has never had. Great WRs are one thing; superhero WRs are in their own little world of one-handed dominance.

    Silver linings to the defeat:
There were a lot. Sikkenga continues his string of solid preseason performances; we feel we have a capable #2 for Randy should he ever go down. Washington put up a strong performance as he continues to campaign for the rights to succeed Earnest Giang. Even third-string rookie Brent Patten put up a decent showing.

Star of the day? Easily rookie free agent RB->WR convert Wade Morton, who hauled in 133 yards on 6 receptions (8 targets). Wow, that came out of nowhere. Really liking his potential.

On the downside, rookie corner Grady Hett was abused for the second straight game, so I'm hoping he picks up the slack a little bit. And the Ike Arias-led Bees pass rush only notched one hurry the entire game.

Also, pretty cool to see 4th year, 61/61 rated punter Eugene Compton hit three field goals and average 64 yards on 5 kickoffs today. Maybe it'll be an extra selling point for his trade block status, but I guess everyone's good at punter ;-)

I destroyed Kalispel in my passing game. Woot! New starting QB might work out. We'll see.

My running game wasn't so hot.

Preseason games don't really mean much to me outside of getting reps in, so I'm not taking much stock in the outcome.

Well crap...it's only preseason but we scored 51 points and our new QB went 20/24 for 286 yards, 4 TD's, and 0 interceptions. On defense we had 4 sacks and 2 interceptions.

          Preseason champs baby!

Lots of work for the Dakota starters in their opening preseason game, as most of them will be sitting for the coming game against Denver. I hear Denver's turf is made out of rusted metal and dirty syringes.

McBriar was incredible except for three interceptions. Pat Donaghy had an explosive day like he did at the end of last season. Duckworth was pedestrian in his first game, and will be sitting for preseason game two.

Hoping the only injuries I get on Denver turf are fringe players who wouldn't make the roster and I can IR. :)

the rb duo has been quite good
needed to fix the line and get some chemistry going for this team
              hopefully it continues to work!

Defense ruled the day here, red zone especially. Not an exciting game by any means.

Austin's not doing himself any favors, 10 of 18 with an INT. Sante comes in and goes 7/9. Hm.
